The four friends looked around. They were confused. It seemed like they were just … somewhere else. But, being here seemed right, too. "I was…I was coming here to find the … the lost star," Ulmar whispered.

"Evil walks this land and must be judged by the Light," Kormac said with his usual conviction.

Ulmar knew Kormac had conviction, but Ulmar didn't know how he knew. He turned to the heavily armored Templar who stood at the vanguard of the group with his magic-enhanced shield and mace at the ready.

Then, Ulmar turned to Lyndon who was looking down upon the obviously beleaguered village of New Tristram. Even Lyndon didn't have a smart quip about their situation. That was definitely unlike Lyndon. But then, how did Ulmar know that? How did he know that he secretly enjoyed Lyndon's banter, but didn't dare tell him.

And, Eirena, an enchantress…an ancient beauty…and a fellow mage. Serene and accepting of any place she found herself.

"Do any of you recall any memories prior to this moment?" Ulmar asked. "I know you are all my trusted companions…but I don't recall meeting you. I'm sorry." Somehow it seemed like they belonged here, but also that they did not belong with Ulmar…at least, not yet.

"It is as it was when I awoke outside Caldeum," Eirena whispered. "But, I was alone that time." She smiled at Ulmar. "I am glad I am not alone now."

"It matters not what went on in the past. We are here now and we are needed!" Kormac said and glanced down the road into the village.

"Yes, yes, and you would know about forgetting your life," Lyndon said as he reached back and loaded his crossbow. "However, I have no scars or bruises from your order beating the memories out of me. Although, I, too, have no idea why I know that." He sighed and gave a half-smile to Ulmar. "Let's just see what's going on in that village and follow up on your search for this fallen star."
