Gaara's Pack: Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Matsuri, Shikamaru, Ino and Choji.
Naruto's Pack: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Neji, Tenten, Kiba, Shino and Hinata
There are night's when the moon will be so bright it will light the way for those in the darkness. Everyone could see it but there was one who saw it more clearer then any other. Stood upon a cliff by a waterfall was a wolf rarely seen by other's of the forest. This wolf was part of the pack which ruled this land. Eye's like the moon and fur as dark as the night sky she was a sight to behold. Many a man had tried to hunt her but she had learned long ago to not near humans. The hunters named her the moonlit wolf.
A howl broke her gaze from the moon and her ears pricked at the noise. Turning she bolted into the bushes and answered the howl with one of her own. Seconds later she was joined by another wolf whose fur was brown and white. Running side by side she could make out the red patches of fur on each check.
"Kiba, Looks like they didn't need us again. We're going to have to change positions or we'll never get any action."
"The deer must never have seen it coming if it didn't even reach the river. Let's go Hinata or we wont have any dinner." Kiba answered moving faster then before. Giving a quick bark of laughter Hinata speeded up also.
The pack had a total of 8 members. They had all been part of a larger pack but with hunters coming further into the forest each time there numbers had fallen. Naruto and Sasuke had been born together one spins so had grown up as brother's almost. Neji who was her cousin had found a outsider for a mate Tenten. Tenten quickie found her place among the pack.
Kiba and Shino like Naruto and Sasuke had grown up together becoming great hunters together. Sakura had born later then the other pups but when wolf's had started to fall she quickly pulled her weight and earned her place in the pack. Hinata had still been a pup when her parents where killed. Left inside the den where she was safe her parents had tried to lead the hunters and their hounds away from the den where their sleeping pup lay. It had cost them there lives. Left along and hungry the other's wolfs had found her and smelling one of their own had taken her to the same den Sakura had been. They had been raised together and once old enough joined in with the pack hunters.
Finally reaching the clearing they found their pack enjoying the feast of there kill. Taking their places they too began to fed from the deer. Finishing last she turned to find Naruto laying watching her while the other's had all gone off on they're own. Licking the blood from her jaw she moved to sit in front of Naruto. Naruto was the alpha of their pack. He stood tall with pride his black and orange fur glowing in the moonlight and his eye's colored like the clear blue sky."Hinata why do you always wonder off alone. You know how dangerous it is to be out there alone yet you still wonder from the safety of the pack. Its not just humans we have to fear." Naruto had always been the kind of alpha who rarely had to give out to his pack member they had always followed the rules but Hinata had always one to get into trouble without meaning too. Laying down she gave a soft whine. "Hinata you need to follow the rules I made them for a reason."
" I understand that Naruto but sometimes I just need to be alone and let myself think without having everyone else there. I'm sorry for making you worry I'II try harder to not wonder off alone."
Standing Naruto walked over up against her as a sigh of affection. " Nothing we can't handle together. Now lets find the other's. Come on I bet you can't beat me back." He said before taking off in a run. When they reached their den with Naruto they found Shino sat on guard out front.
Seeing the pair Shino turned and dropped down into their den hidden under the tree. The two quickie followed him down. Shino walked over and took his place beside Kiba. Tenten was curled up beside Neji her face hidden in his fur. Sasuke and Sakura lay back to back with a place left for Naruto beside them. Laying into his chossen spot Naruto rested with Hinata curling into his side the pair quickie fell asleep.
Waking the next morning she found herself alone apart from Sakura who was also waking. Making her way out side she was greeted with sight of everyone gathered around. "Tracks and scent show that another packs been hunting in our territory." Neji said flicking his eye's every so few minutes to listen to the woods around them.
Naruto growled bad enough they had hunters after them now they had a another pack to add to the mix. "What do we know about these outsiders?"
"Its seems their a pack from east most likely from the wind pack. We make it that there's 7 in total to deal with if it comes down to a fight." Sasuke answered from where he lay in the shade.
"We won't allow outsiders onto our land. We will find them and drive them off." Naruto looked at each of the members of his pack. " Spread out and find the outsiders. Go." Naruto barked sending the others into action each taking off into the forest to seek out their enemies.
They had been unable to local any of the outsiders during the day and had all returned to the den when nightfall came around. When Hinata had return there had been a small meal awaiting them. Kiba and Shino had killed a boar and brought the kill back to the den where the rest of the pack could fed. Hinata now sat at the entrance to the den on guard.
"Hinata." Hinata looked to see Neji appear from the den. "Come it is late, you should rest now." Neji said shoving her towards the opening.
Jumping down she found a space between Kiba and Shino and quickie fell into a peaceful sleep. Naruto who lay near the entrance watched her with knowing eye's. Hinata's scent was changing and Naruto knew it was only a matter of time before she went into heat. He too fell asleep soon after seeing everyone safe in the den.
It was sometime during the night that Hinata woke, standing she yawned and stretched and made her way outside without waking any of the other's who still lay fast asleep. Naruto had been tricky to get past as he appeared to be chasing something in his dreams resulting in him kicking his legs out as though he was running.
Once outside she looked to the moon which was brighter then any other night before. Naruto had been giving her strange looks throughout the day but had made no move to speak to her, which left her puzzled. Placing those thoughts to the back of her mind Hinata took off into the night heading towards the waterfall and lake which always had a clearer view of the moon. Reaching the lake she took a quick drink before laying near the bank to watch the moon and listen to calming follow of the waterfall.
Unbeknownst to Hinata across from her standing atop of the waterfall where she had stood just the other day was another wolf. Red as blood and patches of fur white as snow with eye's that glowed a pale blue-green watch watch this female lay at the lake side without a care in the world and decided he wanted her.
Standing a few steps behind him was another wolf whom was black with patches of purple in his fur. " Kankuro I want her taken alive. Have the other's circle her and I will speak to her." Gaara told his brother still watching the female below them. He felt a pull towards her and he wanted to find out just what it was. " No harm is to come to her or they will answer to me." Kankuro watched his brother, even though Gaara was younger he had still become leader of the pack due to his strength. He was also confused as to why Gaara would want to meet this female but even from where he stood Kankuro could see just how beautiful the she-wolf below truly was. "I understand, I will make sure no harm comes to her."
Gaara didn't turn to watch his brother return to where the rest of his pack awaited, no he continue to watch the she-wolf below laying in the moonlight. She didn't appear to be aware that she was being surround by is pack from all sides. She should not be alive if she couldn't notice that she was being surrounded by her enemies.
Hinata had heard hem before she seen them but alone she didn't stand a chance and she would not lead them to where the rest of her pack still lay sleeping so she stayed by the lake side. They were staying to the shadows so she stood up awaiting there approach. When they finally came into view her blood ran cold. It wasn't just one or two wolves but a whole pack that stood before her now.
"Oh lost little pup. You shouldn't wonder so far from your den all on your own. Bad things can happen to little pups who wonder off alone." A blonde wolf with purple markings said stepping around Hinata. She stopped in front of Hinata looking her up and down. "Hey Temari, what you think he wants to talk to her about?"
"Not sure Ino but we'll find out soon. Though maybe its her beauty that's attracted him." Temari answered sitting next to Ino to look Hinata up and down also. Temari looked at Hinata and wondered what Gaara could want with someone so weak.
"Ino, Temari, Gaara said he didn't want any harm to come to her so back off before something happens and we end up paying the price." Kankuro said appearing.
"Lay off Kankuro. They're only having a little fun besides maybe Gaara wants the chance to kill her himself." Matsuri a sandy brown wolf said leaning into his side.
"Matsuri's right were only have a little fun." Ino answered.
" Relax Ino, Gaara will be here soon and we'll find out what's going to happen then." Choji said sitting beside Ino and licking her cheek
"Yea your right Choji. We'll find out her faith soon enough. By the way I thought you were scouting did you not find anything." Ino asked as the two began talking to one another.
"Shikamaru wake up you can't keep falling asleep." Temari growled before jumping on him and waking him up.
"I'm up. I'm up just get off my back." Temari did as asked up kept on scolding him him for being lazy.
Seeing as how they weren't paying her any attention Hinata decided to make her get away. Backing up into the lake she started to swim towards the other side and hopefully away from the wolfs that were there. Reaching the other side she looked back to see that they hadn't noticed she was gone. Knowing she couldn't go back to the den she decided to stay somewhere else until she could reunite with her own pack. Walking she disappeared behind the waterfall into a hidden cave and vanished from sight.
Gaara had stood watching the whole thing from his place upon the cliff next to the waterfall. He watched as his pack became lost in one another and the she-wolf had been able to slip away without them noticing. She was smart he decided as she had waited for the right time to slip away and had done so successful. He watched as she swam across the lake even stopping to check she had been noticed before he watched her vanish behind the waterfall.
Jumping from the cliff he made his way down onto the side that she had swam too. His own pack still hadn't noticed and for that they would pay later. Carefully he made his way under the water following the she-wolf and found a cave hidden behind the waterfall. What he hadn't noticed was a platform off to the side where the she-wolf stood watching his every move. Growling Hinata launched herself at the unknown wolf. The two rolled growling and biting at one another, Gaara being stronger got the upper hand and pinned her to the floor holding her down by the neck to keep her from moving.
"Not many have ever had the chance to catch me off guard you should feel proud." Gaara let her go and watched as she quickie got back into a fighting stance. " I'm Gaara, but you know I'm curious why would your pack allow you to wonder off alone while in heat. Your alpha must not be very smart." Gaara said taking in her intoxicating scent.
"I'm Hinata and I will be sure to let my alpha know how you feel about letting me wonder when I return to him." Hinata said edging her way around hoping to get past and make a run for it. Deciding to make a run for it now Hinata tried to run past him but Gaara was ready and caught hold of her once again in a position where he stood over her. Panic took over as Hinata realized she wouldn't be able to get away. She noticed that even though her mind screamed for her to fight her body wanted to submit to this male and give into her desires. Gaara seemed to have given into his also so with nothing stopping her she quickly gave up fighting.
Kankuro was the first to realise that Hinata was gone. Quickie he had the other seach for and went in seach of Gaara to inform him they had let her get away but when he had reached the place Gaara should have been he too had been gone. Not knowing what else to do he went in seach of his brother as well as the escaped she-wolf. He couldn't even inform the rest of the pack by howling without the other pack hearing.
Naruto had awoken and to his horror found Hinata to be gone. Quicly waking the other's they all went in seach of her. Going off in pairs Naruto found him self left with a lone. Looking up and seeing the moon gave him a idea and he took off in the dirction of the lake.
Gaara streched the next moring and looked at the sleeping female beside him. Licking her ear he made his way outside for a drink. He knew now that after mating she could not return to her pack. She was his now, his mate and she would bear his pups. Suddenely howls where echoed all acorss th forest as wolves fought one another.
Choji and Ino had come across Sasuke and Sakura in there seach. Shikamaru and Temari had found Kiba and Shino who had picked uo their scent and followed it to them. Kankuro and Maturi were fighting against Neji and Tenten. The cries of war where heard thoughout the forest.
Naruto had been nearing the lake when the first sounds of fighting had reached him but he contiuned on towards the lake knowing the other's could handle themselves. Finally reaching the lake he came across a wolf that he knew. " Naruto its been a long time. I didn't think I'd find you here." Naruto was shocked to find that the wolf in front of him was none other then Gaara. They had met as pup been friends almost but as they grew there packs had moved further apart so as not to have war over land.
" Gaara what are you doing here? but wait I don't have time right now wolves have entered our territory and one of my pack members has gone missing. I need to find her." Naruto said turning to leave to kepp seaching.
"There's no need Naruto." Naruto turned back confused. " They're my pack and Hinata she's mine now." Naruto hunched growling baring his teeth at Gaara. " Now don't tell me you want to fight old freind. Here i thought you'd never go against a friend."
Not wanting to hear anymore Naruto attacked Gaara pushing the two into the lake. The two fought each one not backing down. Gaara getting the upper hand pinned Naruto to the ground but continued on with the attack. Just as he was going for the kill he was hit from the side moving him away from Naruto. Looking to see who it was he found himself face to face with none other then Hinata.
" You can do anything you want to me but I won't allow you to take Hinata away." Naruto said standing protectively in front of Hinata. Even beaten and covered in blood Naruto refused to give up.
Hinata looked at her alpha he was the life of there pack. He was what kept them together and strong, without him the pack would fall apart. "Please let him go. I will come with you just let him live." Hinata pleaded.
"I will let him live and leave this place but you will leave with us and if one of them tries anything we won't stop until they're all dead." Hinata felt her heart clench at the thought of living her pack behind but she wouldn't allow them to be hurt for her shake. She nodded her consent. " Very well we call the other's and leave this place." Gaara turned and Hinata followed him but not before looking at Naruto once lay defeated the water turning dark with his blood. He weakly shook his head telling her not to go but she didn't have a choice left.
She followed him to the top of the cliff where he let out a long drawn out howl. It was answered quickie by those of his pack who appeared not long after and stood in front of their alpha. " Its time we leave this place and return home." Gaara licked her showing the other's just what they were and each gazed at Hinata with respect as their new alpha female.
Moving forward to follow her new pack she turned to see her family gathered below around the injured Naruto. They all seemed well with only minor injuries for which she was thankful. She watched Sasuke and Neji help Naruto stand and met his gaze before turning her back on them and walking to Gaara's side so that she could be lead to her new home.

It all seemed along time ago to Hinata now. Two months had passed since she had joined her new pack and gained a mate. Naruto and the other's had come for her but by then she had settled and didn't wish to return to her old home. Along with the fact she was carrying pups meant she wouldn't leave Gaara and he wouldn't let her leave. Naruto came to realize that there was nothing that could be done and had no choice but to return without Hinata.
Walking into the cave Gaara made his way to his mates side and lay next to her. Lifting her head Hinata licking along his jaw and around his neck. Looking on the other side of Hinata Gaara gazed at his newly born pups who were feeding from their mother. The rest of the pack stood just outside watching the newest members of their pack.
Suddenly the members began howling their joy at the arrival of the pup's. Looking around Hinata realized she loved her new pack and that she would fight for them till the death if the time ever came. Smiling she curled up protectively around her pups and felt even safer knowing Gaara was there also. Sleep soon took hold and with her mate keeping guard she knew she had nothing to fear.
