Metallic Hero

Valiantly standing atop the rooftops with the moon's glow behind him, the Steel Samurai stood undefeated. His long time villainous rival had disappeared after his defeat. It was only a matter of time until the Evil Magistrate would come back to Neo Old Tokyo. When that time came he would make sure he would be gallant to protect those in danger, just he had done in the everlasting night. Wasting no time the Steel Samurai sped to the woman dressed in purple for he hated making her wait.

He reached the purple maiden's home, gracefully landing on the tatami floor through the open window. Stood waiting for him was a young fair girl with long black hair that reached her lower back. Her loose comfortable clothing wore the many shades of purple around her delicate body. He advanced towards the female and held her slender hand in his own. They stared deeply at one another. Sparkles glittered. Neither of them spoke only letting the night's beauty touched the air around them.

A faint aromatic sizzling meat drifted through the air. The female was entranced by the smell and let herself move towards the heavens. Deepening into the temptations…

Once her eyes opened the rays of sun missed her eyes thanks to the black sunglasses she wore. She sat up digging her elbow into blanket that lay underneath her. Standing above her was a valiant silhouette resembling her metallic hero. She focused her eyes and saw the back of an all too familiar friend. Distracting her gaze upon the figure was the smell of pure love.

"Are you cooking burgers?" She drooled.

"Mystic Maya! You're awake!" A young girl's voice rang happily to see her cousin awake. "Mr Nick brought burgers for you."

She blushed at the thought of the two publicly showing their love while Maya rolled her eyes at her cousin's imagination. She looked at the silhouette standing in the garden closer to the incinerator than she liked.

"Nick, you aren't burning my beloved are you?" The medium sniffed the air pushing the man away from the meat.

"Woah, how did you get from-" The spiked haired man balancing himself – although embarrassed he was able to be pushed so easily. He looked at the stare Maya gave at him. "I can cook a barbecue so they aren't going to burn." The broad shoulders slumped with knowing that doubt was upon him.

"They seem okay." She spoke staring at each piece of meat sizzling under the heat of both the charcoal and the daytime star.

As soon as those words left her soft lips the metal rack holding the slabs began to shake and slide off. A squeal burst from the lungs of the purple medium. Her cousin's small hand covered her own wide shocked mouth. The last trying to tap the rack back into place with the metal rod he held. Flapping around to push the burgers onto the barbecue to cook again, he tried to ensure that his friend wouldn't collapse from horror.

It took three seconds from a near meal over to a rescue mission that would cost the lawyer his life. The flick of the metal rod ceased the movement and allowed relief to wash over them.

Realising her beauties were protected she looked at the person who would take care of them. She saw his apron shine under the sun's light; his glorious grilling rod glinted when they were sent between the bars to battle the coal; the rustic gold badge showing authority tucked in the pocket of his shorts; and the spiked hair sending fear to all small animals.

She looked at her soon to be stomach partner and grinned at the safety of the meat. They were slightly burnt but she guessed that there would be injuries. Looking back at the tall figure she could feel the tears coming – either from the hot ash or her feeling of thanks.

"You're my hero."

Forgot to publish this. It's been in my files for months seriously. This was originally going to be completely different (angst). Hmm might do another one similar?
