Title: Screams

Disclaimer: I do not own Jensen or Jared, if I did I would run away with them and never share them with you.

Summary: Screams and woods, do not mix.. Little prequel to Laughter.

It was clearer than the last time he'd been here. He could see everything with perfect clarity. The moon shone down on the woods he was currently in and cast an eerie glow onto the ground. He made his way silently and quickly through the forest, looking for his brother, who he was sure was in some kind of trouble. He paused for a moment, listening for a sound to tell him where to go. He had only begun to move again when he heard a scream pierce through the night. He started, surprised by the sudden sound. He ran this time, no longer caring whether or not the demon heard him coming. He pushed his way through the trees and bushes into a clearing. His breath hitched and he stopped moving forward. There was his brother. Beaten and bloody, but not dead. Not yet. He rushed forward and untied his brother from the tree he was tied to. He eased him down and checked his pulse. Weak, but steady. He sighed in relief. A voice startled him and whipped around. There stood a woman in white. Not the haunting spirit, just an ethereal woman dressed in white clothes.

"You can stop this from happening." She said, in a chilling voice.

"How?" He asked, his voice breaking slightly.

"By taking his place." He almost missed her words, they were whispered so softly.

Dean's eyes snapped open and he sat up slowly, so he didn't wake Sam in the other bed. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. He'd been having this same dream for weeks. Weeks of nightmares about Sam's slow death. This was the first time he'd seen the woman though. Dean couldn't let Sam die, he'd take his brother's place.

"I'll do it. I'll save you, Sammy." The older Winchester muttered softly, looking at his brother. Dean stopped having dreams of Sam's death after that vow. But three days later, Sam started dreaming of Dean's death.

Oh yeah. Mysterious, right? Let me know what you think. I'm thinking one more short little story to tie all this together and explain it. The last story will include the brothers, their dreams, and the weird clearing they might die in. Ooh, that's a good summary. Review please.
