This is just a poem I wrote for apoetry contest through my school. I made sure it could relate to both InuYasha and life. This poem canrelate to one of two things, depending on the reader.
1) InuYasha's inner battle with his demon side.
2) The confusion and gradual transformation a teenager goes through while they try to find their real selves.

Inner Demon
Whirling, snarling, slashing, howling,
My inner demon rages
All these scents, all these sounds,
All these sights drive my demon
To the point of insanity
It needs to get away,
Away from all this
Or its mind will surely explode
It needs to be released,
Released to roam free,
Before it consumes my very soul
My heart beats faster,
My mind is swirling,
My body is changing
I am becoming my demon,
Its form floats to the front of my mind,
The alteration has begun.
Seething pain,
My limbs elongate,
Fur sprouts from my body,
A tail protrudes from behind me
My senses heighten,
My eyes bleed red,
I now tower over everything,
Including the tallest trees
I am transformed.
