Reunited

I got this idea from the preview of the next episode, two clips of it, one were Jack seems to take a running jump, and you can hear the sound of the TARDIS, the second one where it seems as though Jack has been knocked out for a little or something like that, but he wakes up and say's "Was someone kissin' me."

Anyways, on with the fic.

Set a few seconds after the last Torchwood episode.

Jack ran out of the hub faster than he'd ever moved before, a rush of emotions flooding threw him at the thought of seeing The Doctor and Rose again. He ran, feet thundering along the ground, shouting for people to get out of his way. Then he saw it, a blue box not twenty feet away from him, the TARDIS, he was on a raised platform and the TARDIS was on the ground below him.

Jack's eyes widened when he saw what was happening, the TARDIS was dematerializing, he was gonna miss it! It had obviously come while he was dead. The blue light was shining, a wind picked up, the sound of the universe was ringing in Jack's ears. He picked up his pace, never realising any human could run so fast. It wasn't far, but it would be gone in another few seconds, he had no time for the steps. He ran straight for the barrier making sure that people didn't fall onto the lower floor, and jumped. He flew threw the air, reaching out for it, just a few feet, he was gonna make it! He could already see The Doctor and Rose's smiling faces.

The air rushed past him in flight, but he didn't notice in his determination. He was but a few inches away from the TARDIS when he realised his mistake, but it was to late, BANG! He was flying alright, and he just flew right into the side of the TARDIS.

Inside the TARDIS

"Did you just hear that?" Martha asked, looking to the doors.

"Hear what?" The Doctor said, looking were she was, he hadn't heard anything.

"There's something out there." She whispered, giving The Doctor a worried look.

The Doctor sighed; he really should check it out. He cancelled the flight quickly and they both cautiously approached the doors. They glanced at each other, then The Doctor threw open the door…nothing. He stepped out to get a better look, but immediately tripped over something large on the ground. As soon as he hit the ground on instinct he pulled out his sonic screwdriver. He stood up and whipped around, then almost fell back over when he saw what, or who rather, he tripped on. "Jack." He said in shock, staring at the unconscious man on the ground.

"Who?" Martha questioned, also looking at him.

"An old travelling companion…" He trailed off.

"Is, is he OK?"

The Doctor tried shaking Jack, nothing, then he called his name a few times, still nothing, even a smack across the face didn't work.

"Maybe we should take him to the hospital." Martha suggested worriedly.

"No need." The Doctor told her. "I know just how to wake him up." Then, much to Martha's surprise and shock, the Time Lord leaned down, and gave Jack a quick, small kiss on the lips. The Doctor stood straight and Jack's eyes immediately flew open.

"Was someone kissin' me?"

Martha's eyes widened in surprise as The Doctor just rolled his eyes. "Typical Captain Jack."
