Evelyn's First Day

Summary: It's September 1st again. This time it's Evelyn Reid, the second child of Spencer and Hermione, turn to go to Hogwarts!
A/N: I really love this couple! I made a LJ community for this crossover (hgcm), as well because if I happen to inspire OTHER people to write HP/CM crossovers, then they have somewhere else to promote them. This is a sequel to New Baby… although really I'm sure you can make all my Hermione/Reid fanfics be in the same world.

"Bye mom, dad!" called the eleven year old Evelyn Reid from a window on one of Hogwarts train cars. "Bye Ellie! Jeremy!"
"Be safe! And remember to write to me!" yelled Hermione Reid holding her one and a half year old baby girl, Ellen 'Ellie' Reid. Hermione's husband, Spencer, stood next to her waving as he held their one and only six year old son, Jeremy.
"I will! Love you mom!" called Evelyn.
"Love you too!" called Spencer and Hermione as Jeremy waved excitedly towards his older sister.
"See ya!" yelled their oldest child, now thirteen and going in her third year at Hogwarts, Laura Reid waved towards her parents and younger siblings. Laura and Evelyn left to sit down when the last train whistle blew its horn, signaling that the train was going to start any second now.
Hermione and Spencer stood their watching the train as it left the station. With his free arm, Spencer wrapped it around Hermione to try and comfort her when she started to sniffle. Hermione leaned against him, resting her head against Spencer's neck.
"It'll be alright, Hermione. Evie will be just fine. Laura will be with her as well," Spencer stated, pulling her into a hug which was difficult with two children in the way. Hermione smiled at him.
"I know she will… I just miss them, that's all. Before I know it, it'll be Jeremy's turn and then Ellie's."
"I miss them too, but it'll be Christmas vacation before you know it." Spencer stated, smiling down at her.
Hermione laughed as Jeremy pulled on her shirt. "Yes?"
"Mommy, I need to go to the bathroom! NOW!" Jeremy stated.
