"Sarah, what's wrong?" Jareth asked as he gazed at her.
"You're the goblin king, Jareth," she responded as she stared out the window.
Jareth sighed. "Sarah, you're forgetting that you're the goblin queen."
That got a smile from Sarah. She turned around to face her new husband. She looked at him with her soft brown eyes.
"You're right," she began. "I am the goblin queen. Married to the goblin king. And that should be good enough."
Jareth smiled.
"But it's not, Jareth, it's not. It's just not good enough for me," she said.
"Oh, Sarah," Jareth said as he sat beside her at the window. "It will be good enough."
Sarah smiled softly before turning away from him.
"One day, my beautiful queen," he finished.
"This was a mistake, Jareth," Sarah cried into her hands. "A horrible mistake. I can't do this, I just can't!"
Jareth kissed Sarah on the forehead and turned her head towards him. "You can do this, Sarah. I know you can. You're simply afraid."
"Oh, Jareth. What have I done?" Sarah asked as she stood up quickly. "I must... I must leave. I hope you understand."
Sarah began to shovel her belongings into several suitcases she pulled out of their bedroom closet. "I've made a horrible mistake, Jareth. Please forgive me, but I don't belong here. Don't you understand that I can't do this? I can't, I really can't."
"But, Sarah..." Jareth began.
"No!" Sarah interrupted.
"I love you, Sarah. You can't do this to me, to our child. He deserves better than that."
"Toby deserves nothing, Jareth. He's an ungrateful, spoiled, little brat. You know it just as well as I do, don't you, Jareth? You know the truth. You know that our child deserves nothing, for he has been so ungrateful to us. He deserves this." Sarah screamed as she continued throwing things into the suitcases.
"Sarah," Jareth gave her one of his great dirty looks.
Sarah turned to see Toby standing in the doorway.
"Oh, Toby," Sarah put her head in her hands. "You were never meant to hear that. I'm so sorry."
