STORY
Why did you leave me Kakashi? Our wedding is only in a week … so why did you leave me before we could wed and have children? I can't even be called a widow because we weren't wed … oh, Kakashi… I miss you so much …
Jade green eyes stare lifelessly at the fresh turned dirt as those who had attended the funeral of one Hatake, Kakashi, infamous Copy Nin, disperse and head off to mourn the loss of a great shinobi in their own ways. Dull waist length cotton candy hair sways in a gentle wind as the rain soaks Sakura through to her bones. Other mourners glance sympathetically at the nineteen-year-old kunoichi; widowed a mere week before her wedding.
Knowing to leave the young woman alone to mourn her loss, she is left in the cemetery, staring lifelessly at the grave of her fiancé. Once she is finally alone, she kneels beside the grave. "I'm coming Kakashi," she whispers. She performs a few, quick hand movements; she doesn't cry out the jutsu or else someone might stop her.
Nobody realizes for four days that a certain kunoichi had gone missing. Upon orders from the Hokage, they dig up Kakashi's coffin and find not one, but two bodies in it; Haruno, Sakura is curled up beside her beloved Kakashi as her arms tightly hold onto his waist to show she wouldn't let even death separate them. A small smile of peace is lying on her lips. The coffin is reburied and the gravestone is altered to honor both spirits whose mortal bodies lie in the grave it marks.
Somewhere else
"Sakura?" a familiar voice says softly, lovingly from behind the young woman.
She turns and hugs her beloved. "Oh, Kakashi, I missed you," she whispers.
His arms wrap tightly around her petite waist. "I know," he murmurs into her hair. "I know." The two are standing in a strange place full of mist. But the strange mist that gives off a soft, comforting glow. "Come," he whispers, tugging her hand. "I want to show you what it's like," he says, motioning to two tall golden gates. "It is wonderful, Sakura. No more deaths, no more fighting. Just happiness and peace," he says, leading her through the gates. She laughs and follows him into a wonderful place where they can be free from the stress of being shinobi.
As soon as the two pass, the huge golden gates close behind them, sealing them in Heaven. It came to pass that within Heaven, they are free from all their mortal fears, stress, and trials. Free from worrying about losing each other in combat; and free from the odd stares they often received since their relationship became public knowledge. A truly wonderful place where they can be happy … and with each other…
Sarah: uh… that was different from my usual five or more page one-shots and chapters. Barely two pages. Very short compared to my usual.
