Sleep Well Baby Bro

After Chase came back from being trapped in the snow and they had trapped Douglas and put him away, everyone returned to their normal days. That night was standing in his capsule trying to sleep but he was feeling restless and he knew exactly why. He had been worried about Chase's safety, he knew he was alright but he couldn't get rid of the desperation he felt when he couldn't find Chase in the snow. So he stepped out of his capsule, grabbed a chair and placed it where he could watch Chase sleep.

Adam's POV

I was sitting in front of Chasey's capsule when I heard a noise come from him. He then started to whimper and when I looked real close, there were tears running down his face. Scared because I didn't know what was wrong with Chase, I went to his capsule, opened it and shook him awake. When he woke he started fidgeting and looking around frantically, I cupped his face and directed his eyes to my face so he knew it was me who woke him up. When he realized it was me he said

"Adam? What are you doing here?"

"You were whimpering and crying in your sleep" I responded. This made him flush and look down at his feet. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, I'm ok" he responded a little too fast but I let it rest. Then I noticed he was shivering.

"Are you cold?" I asked worriedly.

"Just a little"

I then ran and got Chasey a blanket Mr. D left here a while back. I wrapped the blanket around Chasey and asked

"Better?"

"Yeah, better" he said a little relieved.

"Ok, baby bro, I'll let you go back to sleep" I said and went to leave But Chase grabbed me by the arm and said.

"No please Adam don't go. I don't want to sleep by myself" he said with a face that melted my heart like butter.

"Why Chasey, what's wrong?" I asked

"It's just... I'm scared because when I close my eyes I dream of me being trapped in the snow and it scares me because I thought I would die in there and that you and Bree would leave me behind." He said while sobbing his heart out.

I then grabbed my little brother and hugged him to my chest and said "Chasey... Bree and I would have never left you behind, you're our baby brother and we'd give anything so we could keep you safe. We love you and we'll protect you with our own lives, besides if you died I wouldn't have anybody to throw around and we can't have that can we?"I winked at him and proceeded to pick him up like a baby and he wrapped his arms around my neck. "Come on buddy, you're sleeping with me tonight" I said as I entered my capsule, I then closed the door but I didn't put Chasey down. When I closed my eyes and was about to fall asleep I heard Chasey mutter...

"Thank you Adee, I love you"

"I love you too Chasey" I said and planted a soft kiss upon his temple. "Sleep well baby bro"
