Legend tells that a Cape Crusader, Batman, guardian of Gotham city and his one true love, Catwoman, Queen of the criminal underworld. But when our story begins, they weren't Batman and Catwoman, just Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne. Their short but very passionate romantic relationship left behind something extrodinairy, a daughter. A very special one at that. Helena Wayne was part Meta-human, one of the first in history. At age five, Selina Kyle left Gotham, leaving Helena to her father, Bruce Wayne. Although she missed her mother, Helena had a grand time with her father. Until one faithful day when the hearing of Joe Chill took place.
He left her, without even a single word of goodbye. She was only eight at the time but very intelligent. And very sad. Bruce Wayne left Gotham and Helena, leaving everything to me. But over the past few years while he was gone, I watched Helena grow up, learn and become a strong person. And when her father came back, she grew stronger and wiser, learning his lessons as well as her own. When her father took up the mask and became Batman, she stayed behind, watching her father. Helena became worried and depressed with his new side. She felt as if her father was buried beneath these masks he set up on himself.
So Helena did what she thought she should do. She became the Huntress, making the criminals her prey. Joining her is Raven, a run away from Azarath with powers that she can't fully understand. And Barbara Gordon who lost her legs in a cross fire with Joker. She helps out Lucius Fox and fights crime in a different way. Together, they became the Birds Of Prey, fighting along side Batman, bringing justice to the streets of Gotham.
