A week or two after his escape on the Day of Black Sun, Iroh finally was safe. He found refuge in a small town that doesn't know who he is, nor do they care.
Iroh was in a small tea shop, drinking some tea. As he drunk, he heard two people talk...
"Hey, have you heard about Prince Zuko?"
"Yeah, tragic, huh?"
Iroh's heart skipped a beat.
"Wait, what happened?" Iroh asked, joining the two.
"Well, you see. On the Day of Black Sun, Zuko confronted Fire Lord Ozai. He told him that he was going to join the Avatar, to teach him firebending."
"But that isn't the most tragic, the tragic thing is, Zuko is now a prisoner at the Boiling Rock."
"What?!" Iroh cried
"Yea, that's what happened! It seems he was trying to lead a prison break"
With that the two men left leaving Iroh with his thoughts:
...no, Zuko can't be at the Boiling Rock, he'll be ripped to shreds! They don't have facts straight, it's all just gossip!
Only gossip!
Gossip...
