Hey peeps. Just me telling you I'm still alive. :D

While writing my new fanfic That One Child, I have just realized this: There is no way in the entire world that I would be talking out as much as I am in that story. Therefore, here is a short depiction of what would probably really happen if I met Regal. Enjoy.

Disclaimer: I do not own Regal Bryant (I wish) or Tales of Symphonia. They belong to their creators...whose name I cannot remember.

The two sat, the lingering awkward silence nipped at the back of both their necks.

As much as the blue-haired duke wanted to demolish the quiet, there was nothing he could find to say.

Another minute passed.

"Ahem…" Regal cleared his throat before continuing. He leaned forward to look the young child in the eye. "You…don't talk much…do you?" He asked with the slight smirk.

The small girl stared back at him behind long brown bangs. Her eyes were wide as her face reddened deeply. "N-no…" she squeaked out. "N-not normally…I'm sorry." Her glance shot back down to the ground.

He casually leaned back, his smile began to widen ever so slightly. "There is no need for you to apologize. You've done nothing wrong."

"Y-yes there is…I've been told I'm very boring. I must be making you suffer."

Regal gave her a confused stare. "Not at all. Who has told you that you're boring?"

She tensed up slightly "My…my dad."

"…Your father?"

A deep sigh followed from her. "It's true though…I don't talk much…I can't decide anything…he says I'd make a very boring date."

The man stood up, feeling rather amused. "Preposterous." He walked toward the teenager, offering out his hand. "You just need to learn to open up more."

The girl took his hand, standing up as well. She kept her gaze to the ground. "…and how should I do that? I just can't talk to people…as much as I want to…I can't open my mouth and say anything."

Regal looked back down at her, a broad smile planted on his face. "You are talking to me, aren't you?"
