Umm. So, I was watching the episode where Jenny dies :( (I HATE Vance) and there is this really cool moment at the end where Tony and Ziva are discussing Jenny and Gibbs and Paris. And Ziva said "Nothing is inevitable." And the way she said that made me think that she was referring to her and Tony, and after like 15 minutes of work, here you are.
"All that time together- it was inevitable."
"Nothing is inevitable, Tony." As Ziva says it, staring into his beautiful blue eyes, she means it. It was true, anyone could have predicted that Jenny and Gibbs would have fallen in love. They had been partners, had put their lives in each other's hands. Had been the perfect match. All the same things that she and Tony shared. But if it was inevitable for Gibbs and Jenny, shouldn't it have been inevitable for them? He looked at her, sure. But he looked at every woman under 300 pounds that walked by. He flirted with her, but he flirted with every woman under 50. But nothing ever came of any of it. And she had too much pride to make the first move.
Suddenly, Tony jumped to his feet and grabbed her. "Does this mean you don't think we should be together? I love you, Ziva David. I have loved you forever. Well, at least since I met you. Ziva, I don't want to make the same mistake Gibbs did with Jenny." His arms were on her shoulders, burning into her skin. He was staring into her eyes so intensely…
She snapped out of it. "Tony, you are drunk. I do not think you know what you are saying. We… Rule number 12. Gibbs would kill us."
"Would he? Come on, David, you are an assasin. You could beat Gibbs in a fight. And anyway, I think he would he really want to delay the inevitable? Or did you mean that? That nothing is inevitable? We have just as much chemistry as those two did and maybe more! Ziva, please. I do know what I am saying.
"Tony. You do not know how long I have wanted you to say that." She leaned in and kissed him. He kissed back.
