Of Rocks and Binoculars
Pairings: None mentioned specifically, though considering the episode, GSR. And GC friendship.
Spoilers: The rock scene from "Dead Doll" where Sara left a trail behind her.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything, so please don't sue. After university, I'll have no money left anyway… This is a work of fiction.
AN: Yeah, I'm bored and sick. This is pretty stupid. But hey, it's fun. For me, anyway. ;) This particular scene had me and my friends laughing like crazy. Dumb time lapse… so I decided to add a bit. Disregard the OOCness. I feel like doing it this way, and really, the scene was so stupid anyway. Read and enjoy, review when done if you feel like it, but don't flame. I'll just use them to melt the glued-on cap off my cough syrup bottle….

"Catherine, look!" Grissom half shouted, pointing frantically at something and shoving the binoculars into Catherine's hands.
Catherine quickly put the device up to her eyes and looked in the direction Grissom was pointing in. She finally spotted what he seemed to be so excited about. "Sara must have left clues behind! She knew her footprints would be wiped out by the wind!" she exclaimed, looking and feeling just as excited about the pile of rocks in the distance. The rocks looked too structured to be natural.
They took off, only to stop suddenly when Grissom nearly tripped over the rocks. "What the heck…"
Catherine stared confusedly at the small pile, then at the binoculars. She sighed, realization dawning on her. "Grissom?"
"Yeah."
"You…."
"Yes?"
"Are an idiot."
"What?"
"You're blind, and you're an idiot."
"What?" he repeated again, looking wounded and confused.
"When you're looking into a pair of binoculars, look in the small end. Not the large end." she explained slowly, as if talking to a small child.
"I…" Grissom stuttered. "You looked in the wrong end, too!" he retorted.
"Only because you shoved them at me looking all excited!" she retorted back.
"Okay, fine!" Grissom huffed. "Look, there are more. And yes," he snapped before she could say anything. "They're only a few feet away this time!"
She smiled at him before they moved off, walking this time, to a second pile only a couple of feet away.

AN: If you're confused, I'm talking about the scene where Grissom spied the rocks, supposedly far away, that Sara had set up as she was walking. He then shoved the binoculars at Cath, then they took off, only to appear to run two or three feet before stopping. It was hilarious, yet so stupid. It reminded me of some funny skit from Whose Line is it Anyway. I just had to make fun of it:-D
