Title: Sandwich snob
Rating: T, because all my stories are
Summary: Cameron decides to make PB&J's her comfort food- and Wilson's only too happy to assist.
Pairings: Cameron/Wilson
When House got too much to handle, Cameron really needed a sandwich. It was a small thing- it started small… when she had noticed Chase with jelly on the corner of his mouth. Asking him where he'd gotten jelly- she'd been directed towards Wilson's office.
He always had the right stuff, creamy peanut butter, strawberry jelly. The bread was perfect too- it seems like small feature- bread in a PB&J, but there was a difference between thin and thick bread that few people understood.
She goes in a few times a month, collapsing into the leather chair across from his desk, and reaching for the jar of peanut butter that was always right there. He'd glance up from whatever he'd been doing and set it aside, asking her what he'd done now.
Soon, she realized, House would eventually apologize in his own way- Cameron was pretty sure Wilson had something to do with that.
Even after Wilson had gotten his life and career back, he'd still eat a sandwich with her, listening to her ramble about House, or life, or anything she could think of. He'd listen- you could always tell he was listening.
He'd offer her advice or, sometimes, spill out stories of his own. Cameron was always fascinated by this. Wilson wasn't one to share with colleagues, but he'd talk to her… and he'd listen to her.
Then, one day, horror met her! Only enough supplies for one sandwich.
So they decided to share
Harmless enough.
Honestly Cameron wasn't sure how it happened. One second she'd gotten peanut butter on her chin, and the next Wilson was kissing her. And she was kissing back.
The next day, Cameron arrived to work, and opened her bag to find a baggy and a note that had somehow gotten it's way into her bag.
She took out the sandwich and smiled. She turned to the note.
There's nothing sexier than a sandwich. W
And as she took the first bite, she had no reason to disagree.
