CHAPTER 1; Where it all begins, Part 1. (MAIN UNIVERSE)
It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon at Kadic Academy as many birds chirped from their branches high above the school grounds. There were many teens chatting away, playing games, or doing other various things to spend their small break the right way. At a bench near the main gate sat a peculiar, well-known group.
"Sheesh Odd, isn't that what, your THIRD doughnut?" Ulrich Stern was sitting to the right of his long time friend, Odd. A few minutes prior to sitting at their usual hangout spot, Jeremy had brought a massive box of donuts from the cafe he and Aelita had gone to earlier that day.
"Yeah Odd, at the rate you're eating you should REALLY slow down" Jeremy knew that Odd could easily get stomach aches along with the rest of the group if he ate at the pace he was currently eating at.
"Sorry, they're just too good!"
UNIVERSE SWAP - The Fight Continues (This will happen often until, y'know, everyone comes together)
"One more time!" it was a chilly winter afternoon as four familiar friends were outside of an old, raggedy mansion. As Keifer vaulted himself over the fountain in the center of the frozen backyard, his metallic, robotic counter-part once made for evil replicated what he did, followed by the nephew of Jim Morales, Peter. Last was William Dunbar, who was also following the training regime Keifer had created. The two had been friends many years prior to meeting back up at Kadic.
"You children should really come inside before you catch a cold!" in the massive doorway stood Franz Hopper, and behind him relaxing in the living room were Aelita, Jeremy, Ulrich, Odd and Yumi. "I nearly have dinner ready"
"Yeah, we'll be in in a minute!" Keifer used his inhuman speed to vault over the fountain again before finally out-racing the others to the now very appealing warm confines of his deceased parents' mansion.
UNIVERSE SWAP - The Battle Of Dunbar (This one is in First Person, so bear with me)
Another failure. I rubbed my temples tiredly as me, Jeremie, Aelita and Mr. Hopper left the factory for the night. We had tried to free another one of the trapped warriors but ultimately failed. We had gotten Odd very low on his life-points but that's when Yumi managed to sneak up on Aelita and Ulrich knocked me and Jeremy out.
"Hey, don't beat yourself up William" I felt Jeremy put a hand on my back as he took his glasses off for a moment. "We can always try again. And we will"
"Yeah, you're right, I guess" I was mostly concerned for Yumi. Every vision I had seemed to entail XANA hurting her in some way or another. Once I get my hands on him he'll regret ever doing anything.
UNIVERSE SWAP - C.L One-Shot Collection (AND NO, I'M NOT GONNA OPEN TO THE CHARACTERS DOING... Y'KNOW)
"I mean, do we even know if it's still there?" it was nearing noon as a grown-up Ulrich spoke on the phone with his long-time friend, Jeremy. The German boy was tired, he and his wife having done triple their normal exercises that morning, as Yumi had been sick the past few days with a fever, Ulrich having done everything in his power to help her return to full health.
"No, not at all. That's totally not why I went and checked myself. Of course it's still there!" Jeremy spoke in a semi-sarcastic tone over the phone, a massive stack of papers in front of him. Just a week ago he had assigned his classes a massive Final Essay. Today was the deadline and now, he had every single paper he'd requested. "I think she'd really like to see it again one last time"
"Alright then. I'll talk with Yumi and Odd" Ulrich hung the phone up and yawned tiredly before fixing himself a glass of ice water. If Jeremy really wanted to take Aelita to the factory, then he was all for it.

Finally, we had gotten Mary back. At first, we were all reluctant, as XANA had tricked us with a fake. When we figured it out, the fake Mary nearly killed Jeremy by suffocating him. Luckily, Aelita managed to deactivate the Tower and because of a program Jeremy made, we managed to save the REAL Mary.
"Hey Lila, you still down to go and hang out with Mary for a while?" I could hear Odd's voice through the door to my dorm. I closed my journal and hid it away.
"Yeah, you bet!" I ran to the door and practically jumped out. Now that we had Mary back, I really wanted to catch up with her. I know she and the others felt the same way as well.
UNIVERSE SWAP - Free (NOTE; William joins the warriors much earlier on - as in the Origins Episodes)
Unbelievably, their plan had went flawlessly. After XANA had nearly destroyed Lyoko, the Warriors had decided it was time to seal their fate... to tell their loved ones.
Odd's parents had taken the news poorly at first, but when he showed them he knew how to protect themselves, their minds were shifted.
Ulrich's mom was worried, but shockingly, his father was proud of him for fighting for the world. It was the first time he'd hugged his son with a smile in ages.
Yumi's parents were disappointed for a small while as she had lied to them constantly to keep the secret under ropes. But when Ulrich stood up for her, they became proud that she was doing the right thing.
Then there was Jeremy's parents. They had both rushed out to see him and when they saw him at the Super Computer, they were impressed of what he was truly capable of.
That's when they, with their parents, spoke with Mr. Delmas. Sissy had been there too. For the longest time, he seemed lost in thought. He then decided that what the children were fighting for mattered. He promised to make sure that they'd get the time they needed to make things right, just so long as they balanced it with their schoolwork.
Last but not least was William. His parents had been shocked. Even when Jeremy gave them videos of William fighting on Lyoko they were still uneasy, until William had saved them one day, that day being the previous one, as they had come up to see him. At the moment, the gang was relaxing in Jeremy's dorm.
"I told you all it'd work out" Jeremy had a smile on his face as he spun around in his chair.
"Ha! You were the one who was the most worried" Ulrich had a small laugh at Jeremy's words. That's when his computer started beeping.
"How many this time?" William chuckled a slight bit. At that moment, Jeremy's face turned dark.
"All of them"
UNIVERSE SWAP - Main Universe
"Guys, we've got some problems!" a few moments ago Jeremy's laptop had started beeping.
"What could it be?" William, who was still new to the team, had only been to Lyoko once, and he still was worried about his skills, which he'd never admit to anyone.
"XANA... he's activated all the towers on Lyoko..." Odd spat his fourth doughnut out everywhere, the sunny day not seeming so bright and the birds peaceful chirping now sounding more dreary.
"Jeremy, that's a funny joke! For a second there I thought I heard you say that XANA, our worst enemy, has activated every tower on Lyoko!"
"He's not kidding" Aelita looked pale, while Ulrich looked angry. Yumi was expressionless.
"Just great! When I thought XANA would shut up and leave us alone for a while!" Odd tossed his remaining doughnut in his mouth as he and his friends ran for the factory.

"Alright kids, dinner is ready!" the voice of Franz Hopper could be heard from the living room of the massive kitchen. before anyone could move though, Jeremy's laptop began beeping a familiar pattern.
"You're kidding? Right before dinner?" Peter and Odd almost spoke the exact same words simultaneously.
"Franz, this is REALLY bad!" Jeremy seemed to be panicking as his laptop screen began switching between every tower in Lyoko.
"Jeremy, how bad can it be?" Aelita was sitting next to him now.
"Every tower bad enough for you?" no one wanted to believe Jeremy, but his expression alone was more than enough to show that the words he had spoken were truthful. Together, they all ran out of the mansion and off for the factory.

Before we could even get back to the school, we could hear Jeremy's laptop beeping. He quickly pulled it out and when Franz gazed at it, his expression turned grim and I knew something was about to go seriously wrong.
"That's... that's impossible...!"
"What's wrong dad?" Franz wouldn't answer her and I watched for a moment until he suddenly started running back to the factory. Me, Jeremy and Aelita struggled to keep up.

Three different vehicles were parked behind the expanse treeline that surrounded the massive bridge that the group now stood on. In front of them was the old factory that they used to have to travel to nearly every day in their youth.
"It's been so long..." Aelita leaned against her husbands' chest as Jeremy looked straight ahead, taking her hands into his own.
"That's why we brought you here - for old time's sake"
"Yeah, totally" Odd had a toothy grin as they all began crossing the bridge, ahead they could see the old ropes were still intact.
"Y'know, all I really have of this place are bad memories" William had come along with the group as he had been a warrior as well. "Outside of the final mission"
"Hey, we did everything we could to save you from that tentacle thing" Ulrich joked with the Scotsman as they all slid down the ropes, Odd, accidentally landing the wrong way.
"Any idea if the elevator still works?" Yumi was the first to reach the old, massive Freight Elevator.
"Let's find out"

"Lila, I need you ALL now - pronto!" Mary sounded very distressed as me and the others ran through the woods. "XANA has somehow managed to activate all the towers and there's -" my heart dropped as all I heard next was static.
"Guys, I think Mary's been hurt!" this spurred them on more as we ran faster. I won't lose her, not again. Somehow we had to deactivate all the towers. Somehow we were gonna do it.

"Let's see... we could do a video game tournament!" Odd was trying to suggest something for him and all of his friends to do as they were still lounging around in Jeremy's room. Before anyone could offer their opinion, Jeremy's laptop began beeping rapidly, ruining the group's relaxation time.
"This... this is impossible!" the blonde was suddenly panicking as he ran for the door. "We need to go - and now! XANA has activated every tower on Lyoko!"
"You're kidding, right?" outside the door stood Jim Morales. He was one of the first to get a full explanation of what the Warriors did. "You said that XANA guy can only activate a few at most"
"Well, apparently XANA broke our unspoken rule!" William was furious as he and the others got ready to run, but Jim stopped them again for a second.
"I can't let you kids go this alone. I'm coming with you to fight!" with no time to argue, the warriors nodded their heads and with Jim following swiftly behind, they all ran for the factory.

"Guys, head straight down to the scanners - we have no time to waste. I'll see if I can't deactivate any towers myself through the Super Computer!" Jeremy's words were fast, but the Lyoko Warriors nodded and they took the Freight Elevator down one more level. Before anyone could step into the scanners, there was a flash of nova-bright light that absorbed the world.

"Franz will send half of you to the Ice Sector and I'll see to the other half of you getting to the Forest Region!" Jeremy and both Franz were trying their hardest to keep their cool as Ulrich, Yumi, Odd, Keifer, William, Aelita, Peter and Keifer's robotic clone all nodded.
"Jeremy, we need to act fast - there is a chain of events that we must -" before Franz could finish his words, there was an insanely bright flash f blinding white light, enveloping the planet.

I knew we had lost. But I still had to try, right? As me, Aelita and Jeremy went down one more level we could hear Hopper tearing up. He too, must've known we couldn't do this even if we wanted to. Before the three of us could step into the scanners, though, there was a light much brighter than any explosion that i'd ever seen. And before I knew it, it had washed over us, and quite possible the whole world.

"To think we used to fight off the most powerful virus in the world..." Jeremy was lost in thought as he reminisced over his childhood days, he and his friends all walking around the lab.
"I wouldn't be alive if it weren't for you, darling" Aelita pecked her husband on the cheek and Jeremy just smiled. Before anyone else could do anything though there was a sudden blinding flash of light.

I had no clue how we were going to deactivate every tower in the virtual world we sought to protect every day. As me and my friends rode the elevator down one more level, I couldn't describe the sudden bright light that enveloped us all.

"What's the plan Jeremy!?" Ulrich was freaking out as the elevator opened to the lab.
"Ulrich, I don't KNOW!" Jeremy was losing his temp as he ran for the computer, the elevator descending another level. "Just, do your thing and I'll try to -" not even he could finish his words as a massive flash that swallowed the world enveloped them.

No one had no clue how much time had past. As Jeremy struggled to sit up, his body screaming in agony, he himself cried out.
"What the actual...!" he was seeing not one, not two, not even three, but four variants of himself, and presumably an adult version of himself as the fifth. They all seemed just as hurt and confused. He was so distracted that he didn't even notice the other several variants of his friends around the massive lab.
"Jeremy, are we...?"
"No, we're pretty far from it..." one of the many Jeremy's called out, his voice sounding tired.
"What is going on here, and why is there an older me!?" William was freaking out. He was seeing just as many him's as he was everyone else.
