Rose got up and stretched. Another day had begun. She sat up and brushed the hair out of her eyes with one paw.
The first thing she saw was Midnight, sleeping near the door. Then she noticed the human that usually slept next to her was gone. Somthing had happened when she was asleep. She jumped off the bed and ran over to him.
"Hey Midnight. Where did the human's go?"
The black Kat yawned and stretched, then blinked at her. His dark purple eyes looked at her hazely until he shook his head and looked at her again. "Sorry. Um, they left last night. I don't know why though. But one of the humans fell, and they all screamed and left quickly."
Rose was worried. Yeah, a regular Kat wouldn't care what happened to the humans, but she was very attached to this family. The only one she loved more than them was Midnight. "I hope their okay."
Midnight just shrugged and stood up. "I'll go find something to eat. But remember, we have to get moving soon. The last Kat sent to get Fishy Frisky Bits failed miserably, and we don't want the president of planet Catnip to get upset at us."
"Okay. I'm just gonna go lay down again." She watched him leave the room and then jumped back on the bed. Closing her eyes, she thought again about her life before she was sent to Earth. I hope I can stay here forever. I't so much better than my last home...
