Ritsuka sighed as he crawled into his bed. His forearm throbbed where it had smacked into the side of the countertop when his mother had another random fit of rage. Ritsuka was lucky enough to get away with just that, and a few scrapes here and there. But it was just another day in the Aoyagi house, Right? Cuddling into his comforter he closed his eyes, waiting for sleep when something slight sharp jabbed him in the back. He moved slightly, but the object continued its assault. Sighing defeated, the neko eared boy sat up to inspect the object: Picking it up, Ritsuka had to hold the square close to his face, not being able to see in the dim light. Ritsuka's sensitive nose caught a whiff of tobacco and instantly knew.
'Soubi Must've left his cigarettes here. . ." Ritsuka glared at it as if it was Soubi himself. 'Stupid jerk, doesn't he know if my mother finds these, she'll kill me!' The boy's neko ears drooped at the realization of his statement.
Ritsuka's aching body screamed at him when he got up, but he ignored it. The young boy went into the small bathroom attached to his bedroom. He sat on the side of the tub, staring at the package. One cigarette stood alone, only accompanied by a light blue plastic lighter. Ritsuka plucked the lighter from the box, flicking it on. A small flame flickered from the lighter, the boys lavender eyes were quickly enchanted by the flame, memories of his fighter flooding his head. Ritsuka couldn't comprehend why Soubi enjoyed such a disgusting habit. 'Maybe if I . . . can find out. . ." Ritsuka flipped the carton over, the tobacco cylinder falling into his shaking palm.
Ritsuka placed the cigarette to his quivering lips. 'I'm going to find out why . . .' This time it took two hands to click the small flame to life. Slowly he inched the lighter to the tip of the cigarette, finally igniting it with a slight crackle from the paper. For a moment Ritsuka stayed motionless, unsure of his actions. Finally, he found the courage to take a deep inhale. Dropping the cigarette from his mouth, he coughed loudly, tears brimming his eyes. His lungs burned and his throat itched. Now he really didn't understand why Soubi liked these things.
Once Ritsuka's coughing had subsided, he picked up the abandoned cigarette and placed it between his soft lips. As he slowly inhaled, a knock came to the balcony panicked, opening the bathroom window, he ushered the smoke out. Stumbling out of the bathroom, Ritsuka messed up his hair, hoping it would look like he had been sleeping. He opened the balcony door, revealing the tall blonde Sentouki.
"Soubi!" Ritsuka made his voice tired sounding. "Why are you here? I'm trying to-" Ritsuka was cut off by Soubi putting his nose to the Sacrifice's pajama shirt.
"Ritsuka, you smell like . . . smoke." Soubi's eyes were concerned with a bit of suspicion, which made Ritsuka nervous.
"S-so? It's probably from you!" Ritsuka jumped in his bed, hiding his guilty face into the covers. He heard Soubi's footsteps walking away.
'Maybe he's leaving. . .' Ritsuka's cat ears perked up when he heard footsteps, then he felt his bed dip in. He peeked over the blanket only to find his face inches from the blonde.
Soubi pushed his mouth onto the Sacrifices, licking his lips. The tall blonde pulled away to a flustered and embarrased Ritsuka.
"Ritsuka, Why would you do such a thing?" Ritsuka blushed guiltily and looked away.
"It was only one time. . . " Soubi sighed and lied next to the raven haired boy.
"Never do it again." Soubi took a drag off the cigarette he found on the bathroom floor.
