The sky was clear, not a cloud in sight and million stars dancing in the heavens. An old man looked through a telescope.
"It's not the same without her. She doesn't even remember, but I always will. And I miss you too." he sighed.
He sat down on his blanket, drinking a mug of strong coffee.
"Hello, what's this?" he asked.
He hurried over to his telescope and pointed it at what looked like meteors. Upon closer look, they were not meteor, but something oddly shaped.
"What in the world?"
Astonished, the man took a look again, then rushed off. When he reached his street, he saw others observing them.
"Oh look, meteors!"
"Wow."
The old man didn't bother to correct them. Besides, he had no idea what they were, but he knew it wasn't natural.
"Dad, are you seeing these?" asked a blonde woman standing in front of the house.
"Course. I have a bad feeling."
"Don't you always?"
The man started to say something, then changed his mind.
"Although," the woman started to say.
"What?"
"That is a lot of meteors."
A younger red head woman joined them.
"Wacky meteors." she said.
"I tell you, they aren't natural!" said the man.
"Oh come inside you lot. We've seen the show." said the blonde.
The redhead followed her into the house.
"Doctor, if any time is good for you to show up, it would be now." said the old man.
Glaring once more at the night sky, he headed into the house and to his bed. However, he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to sleep.
