Author's Notes
Season 4 is one of my favorite seasons of Arthur. I like it so much, I wrote these 9 clerihews. So far, this collection of "Arthur Character Clerihews" has been the most difficult for me to write.
Arthur the Blue-Ribbon Pilot
Made D.W.'s bicep violet.
Where the striped snake was hiding, he didn't know.
He thinks that Love Ducks is a cool show.
D.W. the Fan of Hopalong the Frog,
Who hopped onto a log,
Likes classical music played on the cello,
An instrument played by a smart fellow.
Francine the Mosquito
Used a "cat hypnotizer" on Nemo.
She practiced singing while playing the drums on the roof.
And with Jenna she watched a video where soccer players goof.
Buster the Lung Tour-Guide
Offered everyone a hot-air balloon ride.
He entered two contests for TV.
When he and Binky looked in the fridge, they got greedy.
Muffy the Queen Bee
Has a toy aardvark named Arnie.
She gave lots of kids a best-
Friend test.
Brain the Fascinated
Demonstrated
How to make a compass with a needle, a cork, and a bowl of water,
Which impressed the elder Read daughter.
Sue Ellen the Student of Tae Kwon Do,
In one blow,
Was able
To break a coffee table.
Binky the Chaser of Butterflies
Didn't realize
That for the museum's collection, apaturas blue has to be dead.
So he set all his butterflies free instead.
Fern the Skeleton Thinks reading poetry is more fun
Than shopping.
She gave a cartoon to Brain to give
To Arthur. She was presumptive.
