The world dances around her and she can feel it, she watches as the dance of change moves around her but never asks her to join in. She watches people in the dance, aging, changing and moving on but she stands alone.
She stands in the dance of the universe but she is never asked to join in. She watches as it gracefully moves around her but she never moves.
She stands in the middle of the dance between good and evil. She watches as both side tug at the universe but the dance always remains equal and in beat. She sometimes makes choices that tug at her in either direction but she remains in absolute neutrality.
She stands in the middle of the dance of life and death. They are always dancing in front of her but they are unreachable. They mock her and tease her. She is living but she is not. The kiss of death never reaches her lips.
She learns to dance the dances alone but most of the time she remains still. It takes two to dance and she is alone.
She stands alone until one day a cool hand grabs on to her waist and slips the other into her hand. He starts the dance and she follows in his footsteps. The only other person that knows her lonely dance. She rests her head against his chest as they waltz together. His heartbeats lulling her into a sense of comfort.
He leans down, his cool breath tickling her ear and he whispers softly "Do you think I would leave you alone forever?"
They dance together with the universe, with the dance of change, they dance with good and evil, life and death, they dance the dance of time.
The two of them dance a dance that only they know the dance of eternity with steps of endless love.
