Lacus bowed as the curtain closed. She felt someone slip their hands across her waist and she knew immediately that it was Kira. She could smell his sweet breath.
"Seems like they want an encore," Kira whispered in her ear.
Sure enough, Lacus was beginning to hear shouts from behind, or rather in front, the curtain asking for an encore.
She smiled.
"Let's all cry for her."
Kira understood what lacus meant and stepped away to let her sing one last song.
The curtains opened and Lacus stepped into the spotlight. A soft tune began to play.

Lacus scanned the crowd and saw the teary faces of everyone. She herself began to tear up. She saw her friend Luna sobbing into Shinn's chest. She knew that although she herself knew more about Meer than Luna did, Luna was the one that spent more time with her and was thus more affected. But then, she spotted a face that wasn't wet with tears. That face belonged to a certain raven-haired teenager who was stroking Luna's hair lovingly. Lacus smiled.
"Some things never change."
