I have been waiting for Christmas to come around all year, my cousins come to play, we decorate the Christmas tree, lights all around town, it's magnificent! But this Christmas was different than others, this morning, after we had open our gifts to each other and mum had started cooking Christmas breakfast, we heard a knock on the door. It was our mailman, Danny, who had a letter for me, which was quite odd because I had never gotten a letter just for me. I opened the letter, and it said I was accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which left me highly confused. I was a witch. I had been capable of magic this whole time? I had wondered if mum and dad were capable of using magic, too, and had I been completely oblivious in knowing so? But I look at my parents puzzled faces and realized that they probably weren't. It was as exciting as it was shocking to here this, and that I was the only one in my family who had been magical, and that everyone else were... Muggles, also known as non-magical people. Mum and Dad took the letter, and read it, and their eyes widened, and looked at eachother, and they told me not to mention this to my cousins, because my soon-to-be new professor, Albus Dumbledore, had sworn us to secrecy, Muggles were not to know about magical people. I had a long list of books to get at Diagon Alley, which is where witches and wizards go to buy wands, cloaks, and anything you can imagine. It sounded so exciting, and I cannot wait for the next school year at my new school, Hogwarts.
