Chemistry class, aka the last class of the day where the teacher simply gives up. I don't blame her either, if I had to teach a bunch of teenagers all day I'd probably throw myself into tartarus. Nonetheless, I still had one thing to look forward to
and his name was Will Solace
You know how there's always that one kid who is all sunshine and lollipops who everyone loves and makes it his sole duty to make friends and partner up with the loner who tends to just sit in the corner listening to the new twenty one pilots album minding his dam own business.
Well, if you haven't already guessed that was me, that is me actually.
Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have a lab partner who actually had somewhat of a clue of what they're doing. And he's always so nice and his blue eyes look like a clear summers day and his sunkissed skin contrasts with his wild dandelion like hair and-
Ahem
anyway, it was ninth period chemistry and everyone, including the teacher, stopped caring.
"Can you pass me the sodium chloride?" I muttered concentrating on the lab rather than the fact that Will was wearing a tank top that left very little to the imagination.
"You mean the salt?"
"yeah…" I mumbled before he started rambling. Something about a cat and and medical school and reciting shakespeare. I just zoned out halfway when I noticed the constellations of freckles running across his face. Just nod and say things like "Okay" and "cool" Nico, don't do anything embarrassing today
"-I bet I can make you a love potion if I tried" before I could react he pulled out a bottle of red gatorade and started mixing things together from the room. Once again, our teacher didn't care much as long as you wore safety goggles.
"Wait what are you trying to-"
"Just trust me on this death boy" he said, smiling that 'brighter than the sun' smile of his, as he passed me a beaker of a pinkish red liquid, "humor me just this once."
And I did.
And I also had to get my stomach pumped and was in the hospital for six days.
I don't think it was the good time to finally trust him
I woke up to see my bedside table having little bag of pomegranate candies, Father no doubt. At least he visited this time.
And then there was Will Solace to my left reading Seventeen magazine.
Oh gods
"Solace…"
His eyes darted toward me and he closed his magazine and was instantly on the edge of his seat, "I'm so sorry I was stupid and I shouldn't of made you drink it and I don't know what I was thinking its just that I-"
"You know...I think...it might've worked." I smiled at him for the first time in what seemed like forever. "a long while ago actually…"
He tasted like lemonade and skittles.
