PUPS & THE HOSPITAL VISIT
I DON'T OWN PAW PATROL ONLY MY OC'S
It was a warm Tuesday afternoon. School had finished & everyone was going about their business. Elias had spent the day recording songs for his albums, filming scenes for TV shows & rehearsing roles in movies. He had also been busy with his schoolwork when he had time for it. That afternoon he was scheduled to visit the children's ward at the hospital. He was excited to go because he wanted to give the sick kids an experience they'd never forget. Elias even invited Kelly, Ryder, Terry & the PAW Patrol to join him to make the visit that much more special. As they headed to the hospital Angel, Elias, Kelly & Terry discussed how excited the kids would be to see them.
"I can't wait to see the looks on the kids' faces when we arrive. They'll all be really excited" said Angel.
"We're going to give them a visit they'll cherish forever" said Elias.
"It's nice to be able to visit kids when they're too sick to go anywhere. It makes them feel happier when people they admire get to visit them" said Kelly.
"There's no doubt in my mind that they'll all have a great afternoon. It'll make me happy to see them smile" said Terry.
Soon everyone arrived at the hospital. They all went to the front desk & explained why they were there. A nurse then took them to the children's ward.
"All the kids have been waiting for this visit for quite some time. I've never seen them more excited & happy before" said the nurse.
"That's good to hear. I'm glad that they're eagerly anticipating a fantastic afternoon" said Elias.
Soon everyone arrived at the children's ward. The kids that were staying there were suffering from all kinds of different ailments including cancer, pneumonia, chickenpox, muscular dystrophy, broken arms, legs & other fractures, extremely high fevers & so on.
"OK kids it's my pleasure to introduce to you Elias Vincent & his friends" said the nurse.
The kids' faces lit up with joy upon seeing Elias. They all began clapping & cheering.
"YAY ELIAS IS HERE" cried the kids.
"Hi everyone. It's great to be here. To start things off on a high note I shall perform a song I wrote just for you. I call it "Hospital Blues"" said Elias.
The kids became excited. They smiled gleefully as Elias began to sing.
"It's boring when I have to stay in bed all day. I wish I could go outside & play. I want to get better & see my family & friends. When I spend time with them the fun never ends" sang Elias.
All the kids became pumped as Elias continued to sing. They all began clapping to the rhythm of the song once Elias reached the chorus.
"I wish I wasn't hurt or sick. I want to give my illnesses & injuries the flick. It'd be nice to have good news. Looks like I have a case of the hospital blues" sang Elias.
All the kids listened intently as Elias sang his song. Once the song ended the kids began clapping & cheering. Elias smiled at their enjoyment of the song.
"Thank you everyone. I hope you enjoyed the song. Now I'd like to introduce my friends to you" said Elias.
1 by 1 each of Elias' friends introduced themselves starting with Angel.
"I'm Angel. I'm the military pup of the PAW Patrol & I also work as the security guard at Adventure Bay Elementary. When anyone or anything needs protection from danger I'm ready to serve & protect" said Angel.
"I'm Chase. I'm the police/spy pup of the PAW Patrol. When there's disorder in town these paws uphold the laws. Whenever there's trouble just remember that Chase is on the case" said Chase.
"I'm Marshall. I'm the firefighter/medic pup of the PAW Patrol. When there's an emergency I'm fired up. I'm always ready for a ruff, ruff rescue" said Marshall.
"I'm Rocky. I'm the recycling pup of the PAW Patrol. Green means go & whenever something needs to be fixed I'm ready to help. Don't lose it, reuse it" said Rocky.
"I'm Rubble. I work as the construction pup of the PAW Patrol. If something needs to be repaired Rubble's on the double. Let's dig it" said Rubble.
"I'm Skye. I work as the air rescue pup of the PAW Patrol. When my assistance is needed this pup has got to fly. I love to take to the sky to help those in need" said Skye.
"I'm Zuma. I work as the water rescue pup of the PAW Patrol. I'm ready to dive in when there's trouble at sea. I'm always ready & set to get wet" said Zuma.
"I'm Kelly Walter. I'm Elias' girlfriend. We're madly in love & we're always together at every opportunity" said Kelly.
"I'm Ryder. I'm the leader of the PAW Patrol. Whenever you're in trouble just yelp for help. No job is too big & no pup is too small" said Ryder.
"I'm Terry. I'm not part of the PAW Patrol but I live with Angel, Elias & Kelly. These guys are the best friends I've ever had the pleasure of meeting & I'm grateful for everything they've done for me" said Terry.
The kids began hugging & petting the pups. Elias, Kelly & Ryder smiled as they watched the pups.
"My heart is melting right now. It's nice to see the pups show these kids some love" said Elias.
"This visit is going well. Everyone's having a great time" said Kelly.
"I'm glad to see how happy everyone is. Nothing is better than bringing smiles to the faces of sick kids" said Ryder.
After hugging & petting the pups Elias began telling the kids about his struggles with cancer.
"Believe it or not I suffered from bowel cancer not too long ago. At 1ST I thought it was nothing more than painful cramps but after getting a jolt of pain that left me keeling over on the floor I was brought here & officially diagnosed. I did my best not to feel sad & to reassure my family & friends that I was OK. It wasn't easy recovering especially with my hair falling out because of the pain medication I was taking. When I got the news that my cancer was terminal at 1ST it seemed like my life had been cut short. Surgery was the only way to get rid of the cancer & initially I couldn't afford it. Thanks to Ryder a fundraiser was organised to raise money for my operation & I was able to have the surgery needed to save my life. Just remember that there's always hope & that you can overcome great things if you never give up. I can't guarantee that you'll all fully recover from your ailments, but I can say that the doctors & nurses here will do everything they can to make you feel better. If & when you do get better, make sure you make the most of what you have. Never take anything for granted. I hope you all get everything you can out of your lives" said Elias.
"Wow you're so brave Elias. I wish I had as much courage as you" said a young boy suffering from cancer.
"It's nice to know that there are people out there who think of us & try to help. I'm glad Elias is 1 of them" said a young girl suffering from pneumonia.
"Me too. This is the best hospital visit I've ever had" said a young boy with a broken leg.
"I'm glad we got to meet you in person Elias. It's an honour to have you here" said a young girl with chickenpox.
"It's my pleasure to be here. I'm always ready to put a smile on the faces of people in need" said Elias.
For the next 2 hours Elias & his friends listened to the sick kids as they told their stories about how they got sick & what their lives were like before & after their diagnosis' were given. Elias gave all the kids empowering & inspirational messages telling them to be the best they could be & to cherish every moment they spent with their family & friends. Soon it was time for Elias & his friends to leave. Before they did Elias made an announcement.
"It's my pleasure to announce that I'll be donating $1,000,000 dollars to this hospital to help the doctors & nurses give you all the required medical care you need. In addition, I'm also giving each of you a stuffed teddy bear toy that plays a soothing lullaby to keep you company. I hope you all like these gifts" said Elias.
The kids began to cry tears of joy. They were touched that Elias was generous enough to give them such wonderful gifts. Elias handed each kid their own teddy bear toy & also signed autographs & took selfies with them. The $1,000,000 donation check was handed to the nurse in charge of the children's ward.
"Thanks for coming everyone. It's been a pleasure having you here" said the nurse.
"You're welcome. Bye everyone. I'll try & visit again when I can. I hope you all get better soon" said Elias.
"Bye Elias" said the kids as Elias & his friends left the hospital. Angel, Elias, Kelly & Terry returned home. During dinner they discussed the hospital visit with Ella, Ethan, Harry & Susie.
"We had a fantastic time visiting the kids at the hospital today. It was nice being able to make them happy" said Angel.
"I sang a song I wrote for them, shared my cancer story, gave them encouraging words of inspiration, listened to their stories, donated $1,000,000 to the hospital to help the patients get the medical care they needed, gave each of the kids a teddy bear toy companion, signed autographs & took selfies with them. It was a fantastic afternoon for all of us" said Elias.
"I'm glad to hear that. It was very generous of you to visit those kids" said Ella.
"This afternoon will be something they'll never forget" said Ethan.
"I think it was nice inviting the PAW Patrol to join you as well. The kids must've loved getting to spend time with them" said Harry.
"They did. They hugged & petted the pups after we all introduced ourselves. It was really sweet" said Kelly.
"It makes me happy to see you guys bringing smiles to the faces of sick kids. Happiness & laughter are the best medicines" said Susie.
"I hope we get to visit them again soon. I really enjoyed getting to know them & hearing about their struggles. Hopefully they'll all recover from their ailments" said Terry.
The rest of the evening came & went as normal. As Elias went to bed he thought about how wonderful the hospital visit was.
"It's great to know that everyone had a fantastic time this afternoon. I bet those kids are all snuggling with their teddy bear toys as they listen to the lullabies they play. It'll be nice to see them all get better. The doctors & nurses are doing a great job doing everything they can to provide everyone with the medical care they need. I'm not sure when I'll be able to visit the children's ward again, but I'll make sure it's just as good as it was today" thought Elias as he fell asleep.
