This is something I just thought up tonight. I didn't get to finish, but, I really wanted to post this much just to see if anyone liked it. If some people review and respond, this will become a multi-chapter series. Thanks so much.
"Hurry up, Jania! We'll never make it anywhere at this rate!" Jacen Solo shouted to his sister from his position on the couch.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Jaina shouted back.
This was what went on pretty much every Friday night at the Solo house. Their mother was Senator Leia Organa Solo, who was kept busy with her duties as senator. Jaina, Jacen and their younger brother, Anakin were in school as well as being Jedi's in training. So, to make sure they got away from work and from school and got to have a little fun once in a while, the Solo family decided that on Friday nights they would do an activity together as a family. Each person was going to take turns picking an activity. Tonight was Jacen's turn, and he suggested bowling.
Jacen was still sitting slumped on the couch with Anakin. Leia was sitting with Han across the living room in the recliner. They had been like this for about thirty minutes now, waiting for Jaina to be ready.
'She takes even longer than her mother to get ready!' Han thought.
Finally Jaina emerged from the bathroom, where she had been fixing her hair and doing her makeup. For the last half hour.
"You look beautiful, honey." Leia said to her daughter, Jaina.
"Jaina, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but…." Jacen Solo started to say. "We're not going to a five-star restaurant, we're going bowling."
"That doesn't mean I still can't look nice. Unlike you, who looks like you just rolled out of bed!", Jaina countered.
"Kids, that's enough. Let's just get going." Han, who really wanted to get out of there after waiting for Leia, and then for Jaina, said.
They all went outside to where the speeder was parked and piled in.
"Just how far away is this bowling place?" Jaina asked after about thirty seconds. Han sighed, this was going to be a long night.
