Tell Him
In your eyes, which would you rather?
Never having tried, never having told,
Never having let him know
That he's the one you want to hold.
Or would you rather shout it to the world?
Tell him how you never want to let go…
And how much it'll hurt and bleed
If he says no.
I know that it might at first seem obvious,
Which to choose, and which you'd rather.
But have you really ever thought about the fact,
That love might cause the friendship to shatter?
Even if they accept what you offer,
Even if they love you in return,
Once that passion and fire goes out.
Your love isn't all that ceases to burn.
I need and want love as much as anyone does,
Perhaps even more, given what I've gone through.
But those words, I'd never say them.
I don't need love, as long as I can stay with you.
You shouldn't scold me, tell me that I'm wrong.
For how would you know? You've never felt like this.
You've always had the one you want.
Touch them, caress them, embrace them and kiss.
There's no pain more than being caught
Between telling them and risking it all,
Or keeping it out of sight
And letting yourself fall.
But I've made a realization, or two…
And here's what I have got.
It's better to have no one to catch you…
Then thinking they will when they're not.
Because even though it might seem better,
To live without regrets and give him your heart…
But, that'll just make it hurt more,
When it all finally falls apart.
A/N: So...save for that one Gossip Girl Poem...this is the first of my poems that I've put up on FF...I've got tons of them up on FP. But yeah...this one's about Fai to Kurogane...I guess. And because it doesn't let me space, the stanzas aren't that clear, but you know...whatever. This is kind of a sad poem...isn't it? Ah well.
