Monster

It was dark outside, the sun had just been lowered.

I had watched her from afar for almost year. The first time I had caught a glimpse of her, I had immediately fallen in love. We had a blooming friendship, but I thought it could become more.

"Why Hello Serene, what could possible bring you here at this late hour?" The beautiful sparkling white alicorn called to me. "My dear, what brought me here was the chance to talk to you!" A charming smile danced upon my face. She blushed. "Oh Serene, where did you get that charm?!" We both laughed. "I have no clue, but would you like to walk?" She blushed once more. "Oh well, I don't know, they might need me inside or-or-or…" She stammered. "I'm sure it will be fine if you're missing for a few minutes" She smirked. "Okay, you charmed me into it." We proceeded to walk around the palace courtyard. After a few minutes, we decided to sit on one of the benches in the stone garden.

"Where exactly do you think this is going?" I sighed. Her head jolted up, disrupting the placement of her pink locks. She looked at me with a funny face. "I can't" she sighed back. "It's just, you're… you're, different." I developed a pained look in my eyes. She lost the kindness in her face. "What? You expected me to fall in love with you?" She looked angry, but I couldn't understand why. Was I mean? Did she not want a husband who wasn't a pony?

I thought she was different.

I thought…

I thought, That she would understand.

"You're a monster!" She exclaimed.

I was wrong. She's just like everyone else.

I couldn't stand her being wrong.

So I proved her right.

She called me a monster.

So I became one.

I became Discord.
