Things were quiet around the crater. The battle had been won. Humanity
was saved yet again. One last mourner stayed after watching everyone
leave, to pay respects.
"Time to clean up the dust. I don't know what to do with the hole though. It could be worse however. You could have lost. We could have lost. after all, I was there at the last second to deflect the blows just enough to save you. I wasn't able to completely succeed, some are dead. I did try though. What more can I say? Except, maybe this was meant to be. If the town hadn't been built here, who knows how long ago the Hellmouth would have succeeded in opening. Destiny sucks sometimes. Good luck to both the living heroes and the dead ones. May your travels be grand."
A big wind blew then subsided as if it were a sigh. No further voices were heard, nobody left.
