Destiny1029: OK! So I Know! It has been forever, so here's a one-shot to get back into it all. I personally thought this was a good one.
'He's always dreaming his life away, always being a lazy ass.' That's what the town would say about the black haired boy with no interest. He was always in his own little dream world always looking at the sky and daydreaming about God knows what.
The boy sat on a grassy hill as the wind blew through his hair making it almost glide across the air. He lay on his elbows and his chin was raised towards the sky, looking at the clouds sway in the wind as his hair had done. His eyes were in some kind of a gaze, the kind you get when you're thinking or daydreaming. He was alone but comfortable. He liked it like this and no one knew why.
"What are you doing here again," came an all too familiar voice. A blonde slowly walked up the hill and stared at the boy with a certain kind of annoyance written on her face. She stared at him and continued, "you've been here for two hours! Do you realize how long that it!" She just stared at him but the boy never looked away from the clouds. And then he spoke and pointed to the sky…
"Hey doesn't that look like Akamaru?" he asked his child hood friend who seemed to be getting more and more aggervated with the situation.
"SHIKAMARU! YOU'RE A JOUNIN NOW YOU HAVE OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBIILITIES! HOW CAN YOU JUST SIT HERE AND WASTE YOUR LIFE AWAY MINUTE BY MINUTE!" She screamed at the boy she had known since birth. She was panting now, and was frustrated that he didn't see what she saw. She couldn't stand that about a person, everyone knew the way she saw things so why couldn't they just get it through their brains too? But the boy didn't flinch, he was used to this kind of abuse, she was more like a sister than a friend, he knew her better than most people in Konaha and she knew him better than most everyone also.
"Well, you don't see it then? How troublesome, maybe if you look at it from this angle," he said as he stared at the clouds again.
"You're wasting your life away Shika. Absolutely wasting it all away!" She said with a glare. She plopped next to the boy and laid down on her elbows as he had. And then she stared into the sky and the clouds, but all she saw was…well… clouds, no shapes no animals. And then she kept staring and began to wonder into her own world, she became peaceful and serene she felt, for once, relaxed with life. And then she saw it Akamaru was sitting on the cloud. Her eyes widened a bit and then came a voice,
"There's another," he said staring at the clouds.
"What?"
"Another minute of my life,"
