Yep, this is me procrastinating by writing a one-shot to get my thoughts on track. Hear that? One-shot. No more than one, no less than one.
"I'm bored." Beastboy moaned, lying upside-down on the couch. His hair brushed the floor. Crime had been practically nonexistent that week.
"Then do something." Raven turned the page of her latest novel. Robin was teaching Starfire how to play chess and Cyborg was tinkering with the lights. Something had happened blah, blah, with the wiring, blah, blah, blah, Beastboy didn't pay any attention. So they sat in near darkness, a couple of lanterns proving meager lighting.
"But there's nothing to do." He whined, closing his eyes. There was no video games to play, no villains to fight, no comics to scan, and it was pouring the rain outside.
"You could read a book." Beastboy laughed shortly before glaring at the floating girl. "Or you could clean that dump of a room."
"Hey! My room is perfectly-" The window shattered, a dark shape tumbling inside. Beastboy toppled off the couch with a yelp, the rest of the team tensed, weapons at the ready. Rain poured inside.
The temperature lowered drastically, their breaths coming out as short puffs. A chill ran up the changeling's spine.
"Show yourself." Robin commanded, brandishing his bo staff. Toxic green eyes opened, watching them.
"Are you the Teen Titans?" The voice asked, echoing slightly. Beastboy gulped, eyes flickering to his team.
"Yes. Why do you ask?" A green fire appeared in the stranger's pale hand, illuminating an insignia that looked like a P inside of a D. A bag was thrust into Beastboy's arms.
"This is the Reality Gauntlet. Don't put it on, don't tinker with it, and don't look for it's source. Hide it with the rest of the weapons you get from villains. This could end life as we know it in anyone's grasp. Just forget about it and tell no one you have it within the tower."
"Reality Gauntlet? Who are you?" Raven spoke up, hood shadowing her face.
"No one, forget I was here." The figure disappered from view.
"Hide this, don't let anyone take it."
I know, I know it's nothing really. Just needed to write something to get this out of my head.
