A fun little fluffy one-shot in honor of /r/RWBY's Arkos day of ship week.

"Block!" Pyrrha shouted before propelling her spear towards the blonde. Jaune's arm vibrated with the force of the blow as the spear made contact with his shield and flew off with a screech. "Too slow!" Pyrrha rushed him and he was knocked off balance resulting in a kick to his chest which put him on the ground.

"Hey, Pyrrha. Is something wrong? You're being a lot rougher than usual." Jaune asked from his position on the floor. The redhead sighed and placed her weapons on her back.

"Sorry. I've been really frustrated lately, with all the pressure put on by finals coming up." She walked over to the wall and placed her back against it, then slid down to a sitting position on the flat rooftop. "Plus, there's been..." She paused and leaned her head back. Her eyes closed as she relaxed her breathing. "Someone I know is just really bad at taking hints."

Jaune sat down next to her, placing his own back against the wall as well.

"What kind of hints?" Pyrrha sighed, frustrated by her crushes ignorance.

"Romantic ones."

"Oh. Uh. Maybe try to be more obvious? I'm really bad at the whole romance thing." Pyrrha sighed again.

"So I've noticed." The corners of her mouth moved upward slightly, but her voice had no humor in it.

"Well, maybe I could help." Jaune's suggestion elicited a groan of annoyance from the redhead next to him. "All right then, I'll take that as a no." The two sat in silence for a few minutes, neither of them having any desire to say anything.

"Jaune?" Pyrrha finally spoke up, breaking the thick silence between them.

"Yeah?"

"What do you find attractive about a girl?" Jaune's face flushed slightly and the blonde was grateful that Pyrrha still had her eyes closed.

"Oh, uhm. Well, someone who cares about others a lot. Tall is attractive to me, I guess."

"Have you at anyone other than Weiss? The Ice Queen got the nickname for a reason, you know." Pyrrha set her head on Jaune's shoulder, something she had begun to do recently. It had

startled Jaune the first time, but he quickly got used to it and began to enjoy the feeling.

"I, uh. There is one girl, but I don't know how she feels about me. She's nice and caring, really good in a fight too." Pyrrha felt her pulse quicken with nervousness, hoping that he was describing her.

"Hey Jaune, what color hair does this girl have?" She leant forward expectantly.

"Uhm. Uh, she has black hair with red on the ends." Jaune's heart began to pound as well, his quickly formed lie hurt him. I can't tell Pyrrha it's her, she would freak out.

"Oh." Pyrrha stood up, her nails began to dig into her palms, "I think I'm going to go on a walk, go ahead and go back to the room whenever you want." She sprinted past Jaune and into the stairwell. She wasn't quite sure where she was headed, she just wanted to avoid the world.

Did I do something wrong? She must have thought I meant Ruby. Jaune thought to himself, worried about his sparring partner, friend, and crush.

When he returned to the room, Ren and Nora were already asleep. Ren was laying on his back in the bed with Nora splayed on top of him. That can't be comfortable. He thought, before preparing himself for sleep and slipping under his covers.

He tossed and turned for a while, before finally drifting into a light sleep.

Pyrrha opened the door carefully, hearing the snores that signified Nora's current state of unconsciousness. In the dark she made her way over to her bed and got herself prepared to sleep. She grabbed some make-up removal pads and wiped away the streaks that had been left on her face from crying as she ran through the surrounding area in order to avoid everyone. She returned to from the bathroom and attempted to navigate through the darkness. She failed when she slammed her toe against the foot of her bed, causing her to yelp before she stopped herself. She held her breath, trying to find any signs of anyone being woken up by her exclamation, and relaxed when she noticed none.

The redhead slipped under her covers and pulled them above her head. Once she was in the privacy the bed provided, she wept. She stifled the sobs as best she could but despite her efforts a few escaped and filled the room. Ruby, Jaune? Really? You see me for who I am. Is that not good enough for you? She tensed when she felt the covers draw back slightly and a hand on her shoulder.

"Pyrrha, are you alright?" Jaune said. "You woke me up when you came in. What's wrong?"

"Just peachy." She removed the blonde's hand from her shoulder, but regretted it when she saw the hurt on his face. He masked it quickly, but it was there. "I'm sorry. I've had a really tough week."

Jaune nodded. "It's alright. Want to talk about it?" Pyrrha shook her head. "Alright. Wake me up if you need me." He said, before turning back to his bed.

"Jaune, wait." The redhead grabbed his arm and spun him back around. "Could you, uhm. Maybe... sleep with me tonight?" She looked down at the floor, embarrassed by her straightforward question.

"If you think it will help, sure." Jaune motioned for the shocked redhead to move over, before joining her in the bed.

"Thanks Jaune. It means a lot to me." Pyrrha nuzzled her face into the blonde's chest, memorizing his smell and the feel of the fabric over his skin. More than you know.

"Don't mention it. I would do this for you any day." If I get lucky. Jaune thought.

"Hey, Jaune?" Pyrrha's voice was shaky, but she forced herself to continue as she brought her head up and looked into his eyes.

"What is it?" Jaune looked away, suddenly made nervous by the position he was in.

Pyrrha slid her fingers under the blonde's chin. Her nervousness was gone, replaced by her motivation to bring their relationship one step further. The blonde took the hint for once and returned her eyes to the green orbs in front of him. They both leant towards each other. Pyrrha shivered when she felt his face only centimeters away, their lips being tickled by the others breath. Jaune moved his head forward slightly and the two pairs of lips met one another. Pyrrha wrapped her left arm around Jaune's neck, and her right around his waist. Jaune followed in a similar manner, sliding his right arm between the pillow and Pyrrha's neck and moving his left to her back. The two savored every sensation that they felt. Every place where contact was made sent jolts through their bodies. The two stopped as they realised something very important. The room had gone totally quiet.

The lights flicked on, blinding three of the four team members in the room.

"Finally!" An excited Nora bounced up and down next to the lightswitch. "You two have been driving me crazy since we formed a team!"

She ran back over to the pair, who were still entangled with one another and jumped on top of them, giving them both a massive hug. Pyrrha began to laugh loudly, Jaune joined her soon after. Even Ren was smiling. The only person who was not smiling, was a very tired looking Weiss, who had thrown the door open during all the commotion.

"Jaune, Pyrrha. We're all happy for you. Now please be happy a little quieter." She slammed the door after her proclamation and returned to her room across the hall.

"Weiss is right, we should get back to sleep." Jaune escaped from the embrace of Nora after the distraction loosened her grip.

"Agreed." Pyrrha seconded the opinion, to a very disappointed Nora.

Jaune moved to the door and turned off the light, once again plunging the room into darkness. Nora's snores filled the room once again with a speed that was nothing other than downright impressive.

"See you in the morning." Jaune whispered to Pyrrha when he passed by her sleeping space.

"Nope." The redhead pulled the boy into her bed and pinned him to the mattress, not allowing him to leave. "I'll be seeing you until morning." She laid down, half on top of the blonde with her face on his chest. I guess it isn't too uncomfortable. Jaune thought as the two drifted off.

Hope you enjoyed this fluffy one-shot! It was nice to write. Next chapter of Always The Mornings will be out tomorrow, so look forward to that!
