-Fire's Ash-

You had to keep the fear secret, and you couldn't cry no matter how much you wanted to. When you were hungry, you couldn't ask for food, when you were cold you couldn't try to push yourself closer to the fire, when you were tired you had to stay awake, when you were lonely you had to be alone.

That was all you knew. When you wanted something, craved it, you couldn't have it. If you got it, you would become spoiled. And if you were spoiled, you were weak. And weaklings don't survive.

That was all you knew. But you didn't used to think that way.

Oh, no. Most definitely not. You were a spoiled little wretch, and horribly weak. Brother was not spoiled. Maybe that's why he's so strong. Brother was never spoiled, so he was never weak.

You were. Maybe that's why you are so weak. If you had not been spoiled like you were, you might've become like how Brother is.

Brother. The one that forcefully taught you the rules. To become strong, you had to be ashes from a fire. Ash is very small, but very dangerous, choking all foes.

Ash is what you are when you're strong.

Ash is the motif all strong warriors are based upon.

The rival is not ash. No, the rival is not. He is burning fire. He does not live by any rules. He has never been spoiled. No one likes him. He sticks out like a very sore thumb.

Yet he has a determination that will get him far. He's been treated like crap all his life, and when he becomes Hokage, you and everyone else will be envious.

But you don't have that determination. You don't have that flame. You just have that stupid ambition to kill Brother, and the darkness.

Since you only have shadow around you, you cannot be flame, be light. You must be ashes.

But not just any ashes. The rival with burn you, and you will be his ashes.

The rival and you.

The fire and ash.

You are what you are: the fire's ash.
