The little girl was playing with her dragon plushie and with her Happy the cat plushie. Her pink hair up in high pigtails, and she was wearing a cute pink dress matching the color of her hair. She looks exactly like her mother, a replica like what people say except for the color of her eyes and hair. Nearby a dark head boy was watching her sneakily, or rather in a shy mood. He was hiding behind the table as he watched her play with her toys, this little boy looks exactly like his father, except for his eyes. His doe like eyes were from his mother and the rest of his personality came from her as well.
Natsu who was keeping a watchful eye on his 2-year-old daughter can't help but notice that the spawn of the ice demon slayer, was staring at his little daughter for a long long time now. Beside him was the said father of the little boy and he glared at him with heated fire, as everything around him starts to boil up. Gray sensing the heat and the glare coming from his best friend — slash rival — in his way, he gave a glare back at him.
"What the hell are you looking at?"
"Your boy keeps on staring at my little girl, make him stop."
Gray turned his look at his son and gave a deep sigh, his son was just like his mother alright. It seems that when the future comes he'll be in laws with his best friend, as much as it makes him cringe — just the thought of being related to the idiot — he does love the little girl like a daughter, as that child was Lucy's girl through and through, so he'll see to it that if ever there was a case that his son had hurt the little girl, he'll personally torture his son into oblivion. He shook his head and gave a reply at the dragon slayer.
"Can't help it that's Juvia's kid, accept it fire breath we'll be in laws soon."
"No," Natsu seethed, his little girl will forever stay by his side and will never be tainted by the spawn of the ice princess. "your son will not touch my baby girl."
"Whose son will not touch my girl?" A blonde girl came up in front of them, and right beside her was the said mother of the boy. Both stood looking at their husbands in question of what they were talking about. Lucy's eyebrows raised at Natsu's still seething form glaring at his rival, not even looking in her way. She looked away from him and went to search for her daughter, and just as her eyes met her daughter's small figure she caught a little boy staring at her little girl. Lucy chuckled and smiled, as she gave a look in Juvia's way who also noticed what her son was doing, and she too gave a giggle. "He is your son Juvia, I have no doubts and complaints."
Juvia giggled some more and continued to stare at her son, Natsu on the other hand stood shock at what his wife had said. He now gave his glare in her way which Lucy shut him up with hers in turn. He answered with a sulking form and went to look at his daughter who he now finds in the companion of the dark-haired boy. It seems that the little boy moved out from his hiding and went to entertain the little girl.
"Oh no no no— "Just as Natsu was about to 'rescue' his little girl from the clutches of the ice demon's spawn, he was forced down by his wife's hand and he went crashing down the floor destroying the chair he was sitting on "—urg!"
The four adults watched the interaction of the two, all were intrigued in what the shy little boy was going to do. The little pink haired girl watched her friend with an innocent look in her eyes, smiling in wonder as she saw the hands of the little boy start to smoke out. Juvia and Gray watched wide eyed at what their son was trying to do, he was trying to make ice. They didn't think he would be able to do it for such a young age he was in, just turned four a couple of months ago. As the hands of the boy glowed and smoked out leaving a small star shaped figurine, his eyes lit up with pure joy as he sweated with the force of making the ice. He had seen his papa do it a couple of times, to make him smile and from there he had thought of doing it for his friend. After so many failed attempts this was his lucky day, he had made a beautiful — although smaller than usual — ice figurine.
"oh my god— "Lucy gave a small gasp as both of her hands now covers her mouth; she was impressed by the little boy. He went through lengths to make her little girl shine like a star smiling in pure joy, and if that is something to make her root for him, he won her ten times over already. Natsu slumped defeated on the floor as he continued to sulk, he too was impressed, and he was slowly accepting that this boy is good for his daughter. Nonetheless though he will not stop fighting for his daughter's innocence.
"Oh my Gris-chan, Juvia's so proud!"
As she squeals and went to go to her son's side, Natsu grabbed the opportunity to get his giggling daughter and hugged her tightly into his arms protecting her. As he does so, he saw his daughter's beautiful gleaming eyes, shining like the stars that both her and her mother commands — well more like wrapped around her tiny pinky than command— that it makes him want to cry. It seems like the son of Gray and Juvia had won his daughter over. Lucy was laughing at her husband's antics; it was no secret how overprotective the Dads of Fairy Tail can be. The little boy confused went to his mother's crouching form, and he went to hug her. Juvia brought him in his arms and carried his small little form, Gray went to his wife's side and smiled proudly at his son's ice make magic.
"When did you learn how to do that?" Gray asked his son with a proud smile as he shook his son's hair, Little Gris only blushed in reply as he hid his face into his mother's neck. Gray laughed at his son's shy personality, he sees so much of him in his son when he was young, he was a mixture of both him and Juvia that he has no doubt he'll grow out of his shy front.
"Papa! look!" the little girl squealed out, but it was more like 'papa wook!', Natsu looked at his little girl's small hands, and there was the gift of the little boy. The star figurine, although small it was glinting with light from the ice. Natsu refrained from touching it as he knows it will immediately melt from the intense heat he was giving off— he doesn't want to upset his baby girl seeing how happy she was — though of course his heat will never hurt his girl(s). "A star!" 'stwar'.
"It's beautiful, just like you my little star."
A/N: Hope you liked this story! I had fun writing this, I just really imagined that one of Gray and Juvia's kids will be exactly like Juvia, hopeless romantic and really sweet yet a mixture of Gray who shies away when it comes to that kind of showy affections. Also, I had always thought that both Gray and Natsu's kids will become the closest out of all the FT families hehe.
Anyways I'm willing to write anything about the FT families, just leave me an idea in the review section or message me if you're a little shy like our Gris-chan hihi cutiepie! My only conditions are; NALU only, not NaLi or other ships with Natsu or Lucy with other people from FT, GRUVIA only too not any ships. I can do any ships with other FT as long as NaLu and GruVia is as it is. I can do every ship in FT with their families just as long as you supply me an idea and like a plot of how everything goes in the one shot you're requesting, but not every request will be catered too, 'cuz its actually up to the way I feel if I want to write or I have lots of things to do other than writing. Sorry for that in advance but I will try to entertain as many as I can!
