Musa was ill. And Riven was panicking. It was his fault. He should have saved her.

If he had comforted her in her time of distress, then maybe, just maybe she wouldn't have done what she had and got herself in a coma. Maybe, if he wasn't so… so… proud of his status as a jerk, then Musa would have felt safe and loved.

Riven was at the hospital with her one night, checking up on her before returning to Red Fountain. Her condition never changed. She was just lying still, on her back; unmoving except the up and down of her chest. He grasped her hand tight as he sat beside her.

Just then, the door slowly creaked open. He looked to the door, and through the small window, he saw Flora entering. He let go of Musa's hand immediately and sat back up.

Flora was chuckling. "I saw that, Riven," she said, her voice soft and warm. "Don't be too proud to love your girlfriend."

He grumbled. "I'm not too proud!" he protested, slouching back into his chair and crossing his arms.

Flora stood at the foot of Musa's bed. "Don't lie, Riven. You know you are." Riven stood, and started pacing the room. Flora wasn't helping; she was just aggravating him even more.

"Flora. Stop. You're not helping the situation here," Riven muttered.

The nurse arrived to check Musa's condition. Riven glared at her as she turned her back on him. Flora walked up to him. "Riven, calm down. She's only checking for any signs of recovery."

It was a relief to hear that. Riven knew it was true, of course he did, but he didn't want a dent in his ego. He whispered, "thank you," and suddenly lunged forward and gave Flora a hug.

After a second, Flora came out of her stunned state and hugged him back. "You're welcome."
