I came up with the idea for this walking home from college at dusk, I'm not really sure why, it was cloudy and I couldn't see any stars but I came up with the idea nonetheless so I wrote it down. I hope you enjoy it.

Set after the movie.

Disclaimer, I don't own Fullmetal Alchemist!!!

Ed lay on his back in the grass. He stared at the stars winkling above his head. Noah was one side of him, Al the other. Both were asleep, or so he thought. He stretched his automail towards the sky.

"Brother?" Al whispered, rolling over he propped himself up, so he could look at Ed. Ed turned his head to look up at his brothers face.

"mhmm." Ed made a noise indicating Al to go on with whatever he wanted to say.

"What are you looking at?" Al continued to keep his voice low so he didn't wake Noah.

"The stars." Ed answered his little brother just as quietly. "You see the constellation." Ed traced it with his finger. Al nodded.

"Recognise it?" Ed asked. Al focused on it for a bit. "In mid-winter, if we stood outside our house that star constellation was over Winry's house." Ed explained to Al.

"Oh, I never really noticed." Al answered, lying back down. He sat bolt upright a second later and looked back down at Ed.

"You mean we're looking at the same stars as we saw in our world."

"Yeah, strange huh, I noticed it before; it's why I researched rocketry."

"Do you think we can get home like that?"

"No Al, I don't think we can ever go back home. But maybe Winry is looking at that same star constellation right now. I like that thought."

"Me too." Al said lying down again.

The two Elric's stared up at the night sky.

A world away from them Winry stood by a burnt tree, looking at the burnt out shell of the Elric's former home. Tears streaked her face; she had no idea why she'd come here. Den nudged her leg, she patted his head. Turning she looked out toward her own home. Her eyes focused on the star constellation that was over her house.

"See that Den, I wonder if Ed and Al can see the stars where ever they are."

Winry stared up at the night sky.

Review please, it'll make me happy! XD
