This is just a sonnet I had to write for English. It's based off of New Moon, in case you are confused. Enjoy?
Against Time
The sun blazes down on me as I run,
Time is short, and I run with more power,
Though oft in the wrong direction I am spun.
My only guide is the tall clock tower.
I can feel the danger that surrounds me,
And I rush to save a life, though not mine.
The tears fall now, making it hard to see,
The sunlight creeps up the walls like a vine.
The memories come back, the good and bad,
I can see his face clearly in my mind.
The day he left me was terribly sad,
A new life he had wanted me to find.
But love is not one to be defeated,
And now in his arms I am completed.
