In the middle of the night
She was beautiful while she slept. Her orange hair spread across the pillow, her light nightgown sticking to her figure, her gentle arms warped around his upper body. He was awake, watching his mate, being careful with his movements; he didn't want to wake her up. His hold on her was firm but gentle; gentler than he ever hold anyone before. She was just too precious for him; not to mention the fact that she was carrying his child. Her head was resting on his upper arm, her slim figure pressed to his body she was mumbling in her sleep like usual, never spilling anything important, just a few words of the house, or Rinku, or him.
"Why are you awake in the middle of the night honey?" she suddenly questioned in a sleepy tone.
He didn't realize that she woke up. Her body moved a bit, bending over his own. A wide grin spread across his features when she leaned down and kissed his lips. His large hands grabbed at her hips and pulled her on him.
"I don't feel like sleeping!" he stated once the kiss was broken.
"You know you should, Chuu!" she smiled. "Rinku wants you to train with him tomorrow! And don't Even think about sleeping all day either!"
she could be fierce at times. She liked it when things were in order, especially around the house. He nodded, there wasn't anything else to do. He pulled her down, into another kiss. She snuggled closer to the man she chose, resting her head on his shoulder again. She was tired, she worked all day, but since Chuu was awake she didn't want to fall asleep.
"Akane!" her mate whispered her name.
She shivered slightly; both from the sound of his voice and the cool spring air that came through th window. She glanced up at him, and their eyes met. She was certain now; being with him was the best idea. He was strong, yet caring; he even left his drinking habit somewhat, even more since she was pregnant.
"Hmmm.....?" she mumbled snuggling closer to him.
"We should start talking about names!" he stated while caressing her skull lightly.
Akane was taken aback a bit. She didn't expect that from Chuu, but never the less a smile spread across her features. A light push on his shoulder from his mate made Chuu erupt in laughter, he like joking with her. It was a bit too early for his suggestion, the baby... or rather the female was only a month pregnant, they didn't even know the baby's gender. He grabbed her by her waist and pulled her closer to him, their lips almost touching.
"You know I'm kidding, right?" he chuckled.
"Yeah!" she smiled at him.
Their lips met in a passionate kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck while deepening the kiss.
"Sleep!" she stated pointing at him.
Snuggling closer to her mate she slipped into the world of slumber. Chuu wrapped his right arm around her once more, placing his other arm under his head. He watched as Akane slept, just like before. He couldn't sleep, he didn't want to. He only wanted to watch his wife sleep in his arms, he wanted to keep her safe, even in the middle of the night.
