Crying Wolf had just recieved the news that both Laughing Octopus and Raging Raven had been defeated by the man known as Solid Snake. As she sat silently within the confines of her mechanical dog-shaped suit, Crying Wolf found herself weeping hot salty tears. She definitely wasn't crying for Raging Raven; she always found that asian bitch to be a pain in the ass. But...Laughing Octopus...her lovely little Laughing Octopus had lost in battle. Crying Wolf had never expected to hear such a thing.

'Laughing Octopus...'

Opening the cover of her suit, Crying Wolf aimed her Rail Gun out into the swirling blizzard that surrounded her. Every day since she had been dispatched to this frozen lifeless hellhole, Crying Wolf became more and more uncomfortable without Laughing Octopus beside her. She desperately wanted to be with her lover again. Yet, now that Laughing Octopus had lost she would most likely have been...killed.

Crying Wolf threw her head and cried out a shrill, almost demented howl of sadness throughout the cold emptiness of Shadow Moses Island. All she wanted was to see Laughing Octopus again and know for sure that she was okay. 'I can't do that, though, because I'm stuck on this godforsaken island!' Crying Wolf thought, sighing.

Since she had nothing else to do until Solid Snake arrived, Crying Wolf recalled how she and Laughing Octopus first became a couple...

It all began a year ago when Screaming Mantis decided to take the group on a vacation at a resort in Tokyo, Japan. it took a while, but she had somehow ended up convincing their boss (Liquid Ocelot) to allow them to go, at least for a week.

"Do you really think that this is a good idea, considering we're all so mentally unstable? I could just start screaming about RAGE for some reason in public and then we'd all be screwed..." Raging Raven said when she and the other two girls were told about the trip.

Screaming Mantis grinned and replied, "Don't worry about it. We just need to make sure we take our pills every day, that's all..." Raging Raven sighed, knowing there was no way of talking Screaming Mantis out of something once she sets her mind to it.

"So...how many rooms do we have?" Crying Wolf suddenly asked, as if that was really an important question.

"I booked us three rooms," Screaming Mantis replied matter of factly.

No one seemed to have noticed the problem here, so Laughing Octopus decided to be the one to speak out. "In case you've forgotten," she said, trying to sound as calm as possible, "that there are 4 of us? What...are two of us going to have to share a room or something?"

Screaming Mantis waved her hands to calm her down. "Listen, it'll just be you and Crying Wolf in the same room, okay? There's also only one bed, so you two will need to share..."

Both Laughing Octopus and Crying Wolf glanced at each other before quickly turning away and blushing.

"I bet Screaming Mantis did this on purpose! She just likes seeing me suffer...that fuck-ugly bitch..." Laughing Octopus muttered, feeling rather pissed at her superiors.

Crying Wolf placed a comforting hand on Laughing Octopus' shoulder and said, "Don't worry about it, Octopus. Just enjoy the trip, alright? I'll be on my best behavior...so you won't need to worry about sharing a bed."

'Damn...I'm starting to think she WANTS to sleep with me!' Laughing Octopus thought nervously.

Suddenly, Crying Wolf leaned over and kissed Laughing Octopus gently on the lips.

'Yeah...those were the days...too bad all that alcohol I consumed during the trip caused me to lose all memories of what happened after we arrived in Tokyo...oh, well...'

Sighing, Crying Wolf looked out into the frozen tundra once more...and saw a certain old-man figure trudging through the snow.

"Found you...Snake."
