Long Time No See
Pairing: Sirius B/ OC
Rating: K+
Summary: She has been waiting for him for a long time and they are reunited.
A/N: Sequel to my one shot; A Twist in Time. Sirius has fallen through the veil and is now in Heaven and May greets him. Has nothing to do with my story "She's Only Potter's Sister."
"May." He had whispered as he died. A name he had not uttered her name for a long time, except in his sleep. Sirius only spoke about his wife to James. But when James died, he spoke to no one about her. He dreamt about her every night. He hated dreaming about her as he would wake in the morning and she would not be there. Now, he was going to see her again.
It felt like an age before he finally opened his eyes. He blinked a few times to let his eyes adjust to the brightness. He sat up and looked around him. He had no idea where he was and did not see any one.
"May." He whispered again as he stood up. He hoped that if he spoke her name, she would appear before him. He noticed that he was still wearing the clothes he was killed in. He ran his hand over his face and felt the stubble still there. He didn't want to greet May like this. He wanted to be how she remembered him. He wanted to be the young man she had known.
"Hello stranger." Her soft voice came from behind him.
He didn't say anything. He didn't even turn around immediately. Sirius took deep breaths and slowly turned around to face her. "May." He breathed when his eyes fell upon her. His heart stopped at the sight of her. She looked the same. Well, the way she looked before she was ill. Her long black hair fell down her back, her hazel eyes wide and her lips had the largest grin upon them. She wore a long white gown, similar to the one she wore on their wedding day. The one she died in. All the same, she looked beautiful. She always did. "Baby." He whispered and slowly walked towards her.
"Long time no see." She smiled widely and walked towards him.
They met in the middle but neither of them moved to touch the other. "You look... Beautiful." Smiling as he looked her over. "You haven't changed." His smile faltered slightly. "I can't say the same about me."
"You look the same to me." She smiled widely. "I've missed you."
Sirius said nothing. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a deep kiss. She wrapped her arms tight around his neck. Neither of them wanted to let the other go. When they finally parted after a few blissful moments. "You do realise that you are kissing an older man."
"No." She shook her head. "I'm kissing you. I don't care if you are older than me or not." She cupped his cheek with her hand. "I've missed you. Now, kiss me again."
He grinned widely and did not need telling again. He was kissing her once more. He was kissing her to make sure she was really there and he would not lose her again.
May pulled away but reluctantly. "We have to go. We cannot stay here any longer."
"Why?" He whispered, attempting to kiss her again but she placed her fingers on his lips. "May..." He grumbled against the tips of her fingers.
"James is waiting to see you again." She smiled.
Sirius chuckled. "What have I done this time?"
"Nothing." May laughed and removed her fingers away from his lips. "He misses you." She stepped away from him and held out her hand. "Come on."
He took her hand and allowed her to lead him away from the bright shining room. She led him home. To his friends. To his family. To her. To heaven. He was home for good. Nothing and no one was going to force that away from him.
