Kim's POV
I walked into the dojo and I saw Jack working out on the board thing that Rudy uses to dry his sweaty socks. I had to admit that I do have a thing for Jack and after what happened at our party I thought he like me too. But I think that he has a thing for Donna Tobin. Just as I was dreaming about him I was interrupted by his sweet voice.
"Oh, hey Kim check out the new peg board, it is a great upper body workout"
"So that's what that is for, Rudy has been using it to try his sweaty socks"
"Ew, I knew these smelled feety"
"So Jack, do you want to hang out on Saturday"
"Yah, What do you want to do"
"Oh, I don't know, Hey maybe we could swing around the Riverside Country Club for the Swan Skort Cotillion"
Jack then fell from the peg board and onto the floor.
"Jack, are you okay"
"Did you just ask me out on a date!"
Jack's POV
I fell from the peg board freaking out that Kim had just asked me out on a date. I never knew she felt this way. Well, sometimes I would make fun of her by saying she has a crush on me when I never actually thought that that was true.
"Did you just ask me out on a date!"
"No, I just need a date" Kim explained but with a guilty voice
"Well, if you admit you have a crush on me than I will go"
Km than stormed out angry as ever into the locker room to change into her karate outfit. I then realized that her diary was left on the floor. And I know I am stupid but I opened it and began reading.
Dear Diary,
I have a big problem. I am in love with one of my best friends. No its not Jerry or Eddie. Nor Milton. But Jack. The way he looks at me with those deep brown eyes and that gorgeous beauty mark beside his eye. But it is impossible for me to like Jack, right.
My eyes started to pop out of my head. But then Kim walked out of locker room and saw me reading her diary. I quickly ran out of the dojo with Kim running behind me. I ran as fast as I could but when I came to a tree near the school I sat down because I thought I had lost Kim. But five seconds later, there she was.
"Did you read that"
"Yah" For the next minute we were staring at each other. But then I noticed myself leaning in.
Kim's POV
Jack and I were staring at each other when I noticed that both of us were leaning. We were almost a centimeter apart when our lips began to touch. Our tongues were playing with each other. But then we separated.
"We just kissed" we both said together.
"yes" jack said
"yes what"
"I will be your date to the Cotillion"
"But your too late"
"What"
"After you said no, I asked the new kid Brody to go with me and he said yes"
"Than tell him your going with someone else"
"I can't do that"
"Why not"
"Because it is mean and I actually like him"
"Does that mean you no longer like me"
"No, that's not what I meant"
Jack then quickly ran off leaving Kim in tears back at the tree.
The Next night at the Cotillion
Jack's POV
I was sitting by myself at a table with Milton and Jerry with their suprisingly hot dates. When Kim and Brody walked in and sat at a different table. A couple of minutes later a lady went up to the microphone and started to announce the king and queen of the dance.
"May i please have your attention, The king and queen of the cotillion are Kim Crawford and Jack Anderson."
"What?" both me and Kim said.
Kim's POV
"Come on kids, come up" said the annoucing lady.
Both me and Jack got up looking very embarssed. And the lady told us to dance. All the lights went dim and a spot light went on me and Jack. We began to dance when everyone left the dance and went outside.
"Where did everyone go"-Jack
"I don't know"-Kim
"Um... So i just wanted to say I am sorry about yestaur_"-Jack
I was cut off by Kim's soft lips.
