(A/N): okay, so, no idea how accurate this is, but I've seen this a few times, where one kid steals another kid's toy, then a third kid steals the toy from the kid that stole it in the first place and gives it back to the first kid. That's basically the purpose of this cute little oneshot of the Booth kids. Let me know what you think.
Don't own Bones. Really.
No-one Messes With Christine's Brother.
Christine Booth watched with an open mouth as the two year old girl stole her little brother's teddy bear. The two Booth children were in day care, Christine because school was out for the next two weeks. Her baby brother, Hank, stared after the retreating teddy, eyes watering and face contorting as he was about to cry. Christine saw the warning signs on her little brother's face and her own set into a harsh look as she span on her heel and took off after the little girl with the stolen teddy bear.
She approached the girl, whom Christine was certain was called Bella, and stepped up to her, hands on her hips. "Give the bear back."
"No." Bella stated in return, clutching the bear to her little chest. Christine frowned. The girl clearly wasn't going to give it up.
"That's my brother's bear. Give it back."
"Nope."
"Okay, you asked for it." Christine darted forwards and snatched the teddy from the two year old's hands, leaving her staring at her empty fingers with shock. Christine, clutching the teddy bear, rushed back to her brother, who had just begun to cry, and handed the toy back to him, making soothing not noises and wiping away his tears. "It's alright, Hank. You always have me to look after you." She didn't see the day care worker stood a few steps behind her with Bella, who was also crying. "I brought your bear back for you, and I don't think she'll take it from you again. No-one messes with my little brother."
The End.
