Blood on Her Blade

A few minutes after the fight with Five.

Wayne Manor

After recovering from being knocked out by Bruce's clone, Alfred got back on his feet and noticed that he was the only one in the study. The clone had obviously bolted from the house and Selina must've regained consciousness sometime before he did and was gone as well.

She probably took off after the clone but he couldn't worry about that now. He had to call Jim Gordon and let him know that the real Bruce was missing.

Somewhere in Gotham

Five came to a stop in the middle of an alley to catch his breath after running such a long way.

"I'm done with all of this. I want nothing more to do with the Court of Owls or with trying to be Bruce Wayne," he said to himself.

With his secret officially out thanks to Selina, he had no idea what to do beyond fleeing the city and trying to start anew somewhere else.

But how would he do that, he had no birth record, no real friends or family, and not even a real name.

Suddenly he felt a light tap on his left shoulder.

"Checkmate," a familiar voice said in an ominous tone.

Five spun around to throw a punch, but Selina blocked it with one hand and plunged her knife into his throat with the other. He struggled to speak, but nothing came out.

"What's that? I can't hear you," Selina tauntingly said before pushing him to the ground.

She was delighted at the sight of him bleeding out, but she wasn't satisfied yet.

Noticing brick lying nearby, she picked it up and proceeded to bash his head with it several times.

Selina was extremely furious at Five for pushing her out of a window and she was now unleashing that fury in all its glory.

After hearing is skull crack, Selina threw the brick at a dumpster then proceeded to leave the alley.

Her new mission now was to get back to Wayne Manor to help Alfred find Bruce.

Even though she was still mad at him for not telling the truth about her mother being a con artist, she still cared about him and loved him. Though she would never say it out loud.

Another reason for wanting him back was that without him, who would be left for her to troll all the time. Sure there were plenty of people in Gotham whose chains could be yanked, but none of them were as exciting to yank as Bruce's.

Wayne Manor.

"I need to speak to Detective Jim Gordon," Alfred shouted.

"I'm sorry sir, but he is currently unavailable."

"What…. well have him call me as soon he gets this message, you numsey," Alfred replied than slammed the phone back onto its cradle.

"No luck with the cops, huh?" Selina asked as she walked back through the window.

"Glad to see you back on your feet, Ms. Kyle," Alfred said surprised by her return.

"Yeah, and that clone won't be impersonating Bruce Wayne anymore or anyone else for that matter. And don't bother asking me why I killed him, he had it coming."

"Fair enough, Ms. Kyle. But I can't get through to Detective Gordon. Bruce is still out there somewhere and I would appreciate it if you…"

"Save your breath, Jeeves. As soon as I clean my knife off, we'll get this show on the road," Selina replied then headed for the kitchen.

Alfred sighed with relief that not only would Selina be helping him, but that she didn't let her anger over her mother get the best of her at Bruce's expense.
