Common Ground

Summary: Casey needs sister advice. Theo needs to learn how to hide.

Disclaimer: Don't own them.

"Theo, I need some help," Casey said as he stumbled into the kitchen.

"No," Theo said as he continued working on a pizza order.

He stopped in his tracks then rolled his eyes. He wondered if that was Theo's default answer to everything. He really only said yes to Lil, RJ, and Master Swoop. When him or Dom come along, it is totally different story. It wasn't like that they got him in trouble on purpose.

"I haven't told you what it is yet," He said.

"The answer is still no."

"At least, hear me out. I swear that I just need an advice."

Theo turned around and gave him a look. He almost laughed right there. It was Theo's Are you kidding me? look.

Theo sighed.

"Okay…what's it?"

"I need help with deciding a birthday gift for one of my sisters," He said.

"You do realize that I have a brother…not a sister."

He knew that would be the first thing that Theo said.

"You are the only one with a sibling. That counts for something."

"It still begged to difference but okay, which sister is it?" Theo said as he put the pizza into the oven.

"Maggie," He said.

"Is that the artist?" Theo said thoughtfully.

"No, that is Alicia."

"Then which one is Maggie?"

"The gymnast," He said with a slight chuckle. His friends never met his sisters. He was hoping that once their ranger days were over that they would visit his sisters. His sisters would love them…he hoped.

Theo looked thoughtful for a moment.

"A gift card," Theo said.

"No…that is so impersonal," He said.

"But much easier than figuring out what she wanted because she got to choose it," Theo pointed out.

He did have a point but he was trying to avoid that.

"True but what do you get Luan?" He asked.

"ITunes or Amazon gift cards unless something I find something I know that he will like."

"Those are great ideas but I don't think that is what I am looking for."

"Then you might want to ask Lily or RJ. They might have a better idea."

"I'm not asking them. I am asking you."

Theo sighed.

"If gift cards are out of the questions, then I wouldn't do anything gymnast related."

That answer surprised him.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because someone will always beat you to it while it is a new something or they just buy it themselves."

That was a very good point. Maggie always brought something if she needed it unless it was something super expensive.

But that left him with no gift.

Theo sighed.

"Shot glasses," Theo said.

"What?" He blinked.

"Lu collected shot glasses. He doesn't drink much but he loved those things. He said it is because of the different art work and design. He said there is no two shot glasses that are alike. I supposed that he got a point. I think it is because my brother liked to keep a keepsake from places that he has been," Theo said.

He stared for a moment. The idea formed in his head.

Why didn't he think of this before?!

"You are a genius," He said.

"Thanks," Theo said as he eyed him. He grinned as he stumbled out of the kitchen.

His sis is going to love her present if the shipping cost doesn't kill him first.

Yay for last minute shopping.
