Arms twist around my neck…
Fingers knot in my hair…
Soft, warm breath caresses my cheek…
"Kagome…" I whisper into the darkness as I kiss her neck.
"Mmmm," A moan. Too deep.
"Kagome?" Frantic.
"Guess again,"
"Miroku!" Oh Lord no!
I shot up and placed my hands on either side of his face.
"Miroku I'm gonna kill you!"
"Why? You didn't seem like you hated it." His hand brushed over my lips.
Why wasn't I moving? Why didn't I hit him?
I shook my head.
"S-stop that!" Why didn't I mean it?
He laughed.
His hand moved up my chest…
"InuYasha…" He whispered.
"Oh!" Quiet. No Miroku underneath me. No hard-on. Okay I'm good.
"InuYasha? What's wrong…is it Naraku?" Kagome lifted herself up on one elbow.
"Nah, jus' go back to sleep." She looks so cute with her hair stuck up like that.
"'Kay," Her head hit the pillow and her soft snoring returned.
Sssssstch, sssssstch,
My ears twitch and my eyes automatically focus ahead.
The bushes started moving right behind Sango.
"Who's there?" I grab my sheathed Tessaiga and prepare myself to spring. Sango could be in danger.
One, two, three
"Humph!" I pounce and land on top of…"Miroku?"
I'm pressed up against him and can feel every tiny little crease of muscle. Awkward.
I'm up before he can grunt.
"Damn Miroku," I huff. "What the hell? I thought you were sleeping."
"I was," He stood and started to brush himself off. "I went to go to the bathroom. I can't do that here so I went into those trees." He pointed behind himself without taking his eyes off me. "Weren't you supposed to be asleep?"
"Uhhh," I can't tell him I was disturbed because I almost slept with him…and almost liked it. "It's the night of the new moon. I'm a little on edge."
"I see," He observed my black hair and brown eyes. "Well I'm going back to bed if you don't mind."
He slowly made his way back to Sango, where he slumped down behind her and nestled himself into her back.
While I made my way swiftly back to my tree, climbed it, and nestled myself in a branch.
I've had too much Miroku-contact for the night.
A/N: I haven't written anything since that Furuba fanfic. I decided that I was going to try and see if I can challenge myself. A five-night challenge where I write one little story a night. The first one is InuYasha and then comes Roy and then Kyo and then...well I'm working on it.
