The Phoenix Squadron and Ghost Team started their pursuit— like Commander Sato instructed— on the single lone, but incredibly skilled TIE fighter. It was so powerful, the fighter was doing manoeuvres that were thought to be impossible, while also taking down the Rebel's Command ship single-handedly.
"Phoenix home to ghost," said Commander Sato franticly through the speaker imbedded in the cot-pit. his voice was full of panic. "We can't withstand another attack from that fighter!"
"Copy that," Hera engaged on the TIE, while Sabine opened fire. "Phoenix Squadron, form up and focus fire." she spoke firmly.
As they continued to chase the very skilled pilot, Ahsoka noticed something. The way the TIE was able to escape the laser fire and the way it out-matched almost all of the other Phoenix pilots, felt familiar. She frowned, as she couldn't figure out why. One thing she did know was, who ever was piloting the fighter was very very strong with the force. "The Force is strong with him." she thought aloud. She didn't even know she had said it but when she remembered the Jedi sitting behind her, she formed a plan. "Kanan, lets find out how strong." she now sounded very determined.
Kanan was startled by Ahsoka mentioning his name, as he was too focused on the TIE, but then his face relaxed. "How can I help?" He said a little confused.
"Just remember your training." Ahsoka instructed.
Kanan sighed. He didn't really believe in himself. Ahsoka was much more skilled then he was. He wondered why she even needed his help in the first place, but trying his best to help out, Kanan placed a gentle hand on Ahsoka's shoulder.
Their connected abilities flourished as they tuned into the Force together. Both reached out—Physical an mentally—to see just how capable of destroying the fleet, this pilot was.
The TIE speeded towards the nearly ruined command ship again, followed by Pheonix squadron that had yet to land a hit on the fighter. It spun wildly as it dodged every laser.
Suddenly Ezra's voice crackled through the speaker in a worried tone. He said something about 'familiar', but Ahsoka and Kanan were to deep in connection with the Force to make out what he said.
The next few words he said rang in Ahsoka's ears clearly now. "I think I know who it is!" He shouted, with a hint of fear laced in his voice. The panicked tone disrupted Ahsoka's concentrated state. Ahsoka winced as he spoke about 'Lothal' and 'feeling something'. She was also feeling something. The presence of the pilot was very familiar, but what sickened her was the fact that it was covered by darkness.
"The anger," Ezra's panicked tone was becoming more and more fearful. Ahsoka then could feel the anger that radiated off of him. "The fear," Ahsoka was becoming closer and closer to revealing the identity to the person. She knew she was so close, but still couldn't put the pieces together. "The hate!" Ahsoka winced again as she knew Ezra was right. The horrid emotions the came off of the man. "It's the Sith lord we faced!" he called, but at that very moment Ahsoka realised why the presence felt so familiar.
Anakin
Her whole face went wide in shock and she felt like screaming, but only a small gasp escaped her lips, though in her head it sounded like a blood-curdeling shriek. Anakin. Her master. The Jedi knight. The hero with no fear. Her brother. The Chosen One... Now The Sith.
After that, everything went black, as she felt the overwhelming state of shock, terror and sorrow consume her.
