The Forgotten Planet.
The Tenth Doctor receives a distress signal, moments after he saved the Earth from the Racnoss Empress. With a series of technobabble and a dash of something brilliant, the Doctor discovers the signal has come from a planet hidden from space; time and reality by a mere second... and for very good reason.

Donna Noble must have been one of the strangest human females he had ever met. It was a rarity that she was so hostile toward him, but in a way he had her to thank. She stopped him. The Doctor flashed back to that moment as he stood on the top of the stairs, watching the Racnoss empress burn as she screamed for her children's lives. He could feel the heated energy rising up from the very soles of his feet, the rage that she had hidden herself as the Earth grew around her, the hate of her planning to devour each and every human... the Doctor swallowed and ran a hand through his hair. It was obvious he was still learning in this regeneration. But being told to 'stop' was something this regeneration was finding hard to deal with. He hoped he would meet Donna Noble again, as his hearts still ached for Rose; his mindset changed. He wasn't ready to meet up with another companion, not yet.
But then something bleeped on the console. It alerted the Doctor's attention as he spun on his heels in excitement and rubbed his hands together. It appeared to be a fairly weak signal, and so the Doctor worked on strengthening the signal by pulling hard on a lever with a grunt to the point of the TARDIS shuddering rather violently. Once the Doctor had composed himself and the lever was in place; the shuddering stopped. The Doctor scooted around to the other side of the console and patted the Time Rotor casing gently. "What's the matter, hey? Come on, it's not a signal we haven't come across before..." The Doctor dug into his pocket and held up his Sonic Screwdriver as he rotated the setting slightly to the left, and then pointed the blue nub downward onto the console. "...well, perhaps we haven't come across this particular signal before. Upon strengthening it we could find out where it origina..." Suddenly, the Doctor was thrown backward as the TARDIS shuddered violently again. Slightly dazed, he shook his head and got to his feet. He picked up his fallen sonic and approached the console a second time. "That wasn't very nice", the Doctor scolded as he shook his sonic at the Time Rotor. "Clearly someone out there needs our help and all you care about is... oi!" The Doctor suddenly leaped into the air when he felt something zap his behind. "That really... oh you cheeky old girl you. All right. Fine, I'm going to set you to embark on the last known location of where the signal was sent", the Doctor rubbed his bottom with grit teeth. "If you can't relay the message, perhaps we'll find out who sent it instead, hmm?" The TARDIS seemed to groan in agreement as the Doctor patted the Time Rotor casing once more. "Good girl. Then I'll treat you to a bit of refueling eh?" He smiled, as the TARDIS finally agreed with him and located the source of the distress signal. The Doctor doubled back in surprise as he ran his fingers through his hair. "That's... that's impossible... oh surely not, no. It couldn't be. It's come from another TARDIS".
