Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. He is property of J.K. Rowling.
Harry gazed at her intently; his eyes, a stunningly beautiful emerald, filled with love, compassion, and warmth, warmth that enveloped her very being and comforted her greatly. She looked up at him, and studied his face intently, reading every little detail as if he was an open book to her. Which he was indeed. The music kept playing in the background as they danced and swayed, dancing horribly to the rhythm of the song, but it made her feel content. It made her realize that Harry was always there for her, for better or worse. She liked that about him, she liked that he was a dependable person upon which she could rely on with no trouble whatsoever. Her hair twirled along with her body, as Harry spun her before settling her to look at him again, and they began to sway comfortably with the music.
Never did she think that she would do this with Harry of all people. Harry, her Harry, the same Harry that was just a tad bit socially inept to many things. The same Harry that was unaware of how many hearts he had broken because of his inability to comprehend what that feeling that might have settled within his chest at times was. The same Harry whose hair was always messy, no matter how many times she and the many girls in Hogwarts had tried to fix both the muggle way and the magical way. The same Harry who always looked at her with tenderness and who always cared for her. The same Harry who took care of her and comforted her, like he was doing now. No, she never thought she'd end up dancing in a tent with this Harry at all, if ever. Yet here they were, dancing and smiling shyly at one another. Like a pair of lovesick school children. She wondered what his thoughts were on this as he once again spun her and she stopped when she made contact with his, surprisingly well toned chest, as they continued to sway ever so gently to the muggle music that played from her radio set.
She gazed up at him and made eye contact, she saw a lot of emotions within his eyes yet again, and she liked that they were all directed towards her. A smile slowly crept upon her face as chocolate gazed into emerald. She wrapped her hands around his neck and rested her head on his shoulder as they danced. She breathed in his scent, he smelled musky and sweaty, but at the same time he had a pine tree smell, she breathed it all in, enjoying his scent, before she slowly released her breath. She then looked up at him, their eyes gazing at the other intently, They both leaned in slowly, their lips coming to a halt barely inches apart. She felt his warm breath hit her, and she shivered slightly.
It seemed like hours had passed, perhaps even days. The tension and build up to what would appear to be an almost kiss, the music still going on. Both were lost in a trance-like state as they gazed at each other. Their lips just a few centimeters away from touching. But then something unexpected happened. The music was cut off, and the announcer appraised the band's song, telling audiences everywhere to buy it. Just like that, the magic was gone, it all ended. She felt herself descend from what had felt like a levitation charm mixed with a cheering charm and a calming draught. She noticed that he had pulled back, his fingers intertwined with hers as he looked at her. Then, they both slowly broke apart, their fingers sliding slowly in a desperate attempt to retain the magic and the feeling, but that soon ended. He went to the table within the room, she went towards her bed and continued reading her book.
Both feeling incomplete. Both feeling unfinished. But as the saying goes…
All good things, must come to an end…
Hope you guys liked it, it really just popped into my mind out of nowhere. Maybe I'll make another one and we can see how Harry feels instead.
