Jack came over almost every day when he wasn't busy at Torchwood which Juliet liked a great deal. She loved seeing her Flirtatious American even though at times he brought his paperwork with him. Juliet had been in the kitchen for fifteen minutes while Jack remained in the living room at a desk, doing his paperwork. Juliet clapped her hands together softly letting small amounts of flour fall off and land on the counter. She pulled a small device from her pocket and set it to begin cleaning. She quite quietly made her way out of the kitchen and made her way down the stairs. Juliet smirked to herself having caught sight of Jack having been undisturbed, that was brilliant news for Juliet who had a cheeky plan. She crept along the corridor and stood behind Jack. She quickly but gently placed her hands that still had small amounts of flour on them to his cheeks before she turned on the spot giggling and running off.
Jack brought his hands to his face having dropped his pen immediately. "Uh what?" he looked to the flour that had rubbed off to his hands. "Juliet!" he called jumping to his feet right away before he chased her having heard her giggle moments earlier. She was making her way up the stairs when he had caught up. Jack managed to wrap his arms around Juliet's waist lifting her off of the ground. Jack blew raspberry against her cheek which had caused her to giggle immensely before he carried her down to the living room, placing her down on the couch where he wiped the flour on his hands back on her cheeks. Juliet seemed to giggle again at that. Jack smiled his usual smile soon enough. "Having fun?" he asked tilting his head to the side having let Juliet go by this point. Juliet laughed. Of course she was. "Yes Jack I am" she answered, she was lying on the couch now. Jack was about to stand up and go back to his desk when Juliet tugged his hand.
"I have to tell you something" she commented. Jack arched an eyebrow ever so slightly, leaning back on the cushions at this point. "I'm listening" he responded. Juliet sat up slowly taking in a breath. "Remember how we decided we'd try for a child?" she asked. Jack nodded silently. A soft smile took over her features. "Well it worked" Jack's deep blue eyes widened. He couldn't be hearing things could he? "W-What? You're certain?" he asked. Juliet nodded her head. "Yes" she responded. Jack smiled, he was clearly happy about it all. Juliet smiled as well just knowing that he was happy about it all. "I don't know what the gender is but if-" she was soon distracted by the fact that Jack had stood up and was pacing back and forth before he headed down the corridor. "Jack!" she called out but he didn't respond for a few minutes. "When did you find out?" he called back. Juliet rose to her feet knowing it wasn't a proper conversation at separate ends of the house and she headed towards where Jack was stood.
"A few days ago" she commented. Jack turned his head in her direction. "Should we go and have a scan?" he asked. Juliet nodded. "Yes - I have an invention for that" she commented. Jack chuckled. "What don't you have an invention for?" he asked. Juliet shrugged. "No idea" she commented and headed towards their bedroom, Jack followed close behind. Juliet reached into her pocket and handed the device to him before she laid down on the bed. Jack grabbed a nearby chair and sat down on it. Juliet only lifted the bottom of her shirt up. Jack hovered the device over her stomach. It made a few light beeping sounds before an image of what Jack knew to be a child although it was rather small. Jack couldn't tell what the gender was but he could see that Juliet was happy so that in turn made him happy.
